In cooler months, it’s a designated manatee refuge —an unforgettable sight. Warmer months are perfect for swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, or a peaceful riverside walk . (Tip! Check out the park’s FB page for the current manatee count.) 💦 De Leon Springs State Park (14 miles) Famous for its make-your-own pancake breakfast at the Old Spanish Sugar Mill, this park also offers a stunning spring-fed swimming area, kayaking, and shaded nature trails. It’s equal parts fun, quirky, and classic Florida charm. (Tip! You can put your name on the list for a table before you leave the house) 🏁 Race week, Bike Week & beach days (22 miles to Daytona Speedway) Heading to Daytona Beach for Race Week, Bike Week, or a beach day? You’re close enough to enjoy the excitement, but far enough away to unwind and escape the crowds when you’re done. And there is plenty of room for parking for your bikes or trailer with no extra fees. Open Kitchen: Small appliances and tools are displayed on open shelving — no hunting through cabinets, no guessing where anything is. You can see everything at a glance and get cooking immediately. Small applicanced include: a Vitamix blender, waffle maker, Crock-Pot, griddle, and toaster oven. And yes — there is a ceiling-mounted TV on a swivel arm right in the kitchen that rotates down so you never have to miss a moment while you cook. 2 Full Bathrooms + Private Half Bath in Suite | Washer & Dryer | High-Speed WiFi | | Bedside charging at every nightstand ✨✨✨T H E D O M E ✨✨✨ Yes, it’s an actual dome home (not a camping tent! ). Full residential construction with a real kitchen, comfortable beds , and a backdrop for making new memories —all the things that make a house feel like home. But it is different! – Conversations carry in unexpected ways. Laughter echoes beautifully, and kids absolutely love how their voices bounce around . It’s part of the dome’s charm, though light sleepers should know that sounds travel more than in a typical house. (Tip-have the light sleepers in one of the bedrooms downstairs.) – Upstairs, the two bedrooms have doors but half-walls instead of full walls to the ceiling—creating an open, airy feeling ☁️ that works great for families with kids or close friends 🤍. It’s not the same level of privacy as a traditional bedroom, and we wanted you to know what to expect. We always loved seeing heads poke over the wall so they could see what’s going on downstairs . The Entertainment Setup is Unreal: The living room features a 98-inch TV — perfect for movie nights, game days, Race Week, or the Super Bowl. The Florida Room has its own TV so you can enjoy the screened in room and not have to miss out on your show. Bedrooms 2 and 3 each have a TV on a rolling cart that can be pulled out whenever you need it. When the night really gets going, break out the karaoke machine. Hidden Fitness Kit: The blue bench just inside the front door opens up to reveal some travel-appropriate workout equipment (medicine balls, light weights, etc. — intended for guests who want to keep up their routine. 💛 A FEW HONEST NOTES The dome’s unique architecture means sound travels differently than in a standard home — laughter echoes beautifully, and conversations carry across rooms. The upstairs loft bedrooms feature open half-walls that overlook the main living space below, creating an airy, connected feel that’s perfect for families and close friend groups. Light sleepers will be most comfortable in the downstairs bedrooms. This home has character, quirks, and a whole lot of love built into it. If you want a memorable stay in a home unlike anything you’ve experienced, we’d love to host you.
