Discover the beauty of Vancouver from this 4-bedroom Georgian House with old-world charm. Originally built in 1926 and entirely renovated in 2010, this spacious 5,000+ sq ft residence is designed for families and groups who want privacy, beauty, and room to settle in. Spend your days swimming, grilling, and dining outdoors under warm ambient lighting, with fire features that make evenings by the pool feel effortless and special. You will never tire of the gorgeous architecture and design. The heart of the home is the stunning solarium, featuring a roof lantern and French doors that open to the private backyard with the heated 16x36 foot pool surrounded by a 15-foor cedar hedge for complete privacy. Relax in the evening under the warm ambient lighting of the outdoor dining area and the large natural gas firepit while listening to your favourite background music. The home offers an exercise room with an elliptical, stationary bike, and weights, as well as a media room featuring a large sectional, bar area, and big-screen projector TV. The 16x36 foot pool includes an automatic safety cover, water features, and firebowls for added ambiance. Outdoor heaters and a natural gas firepit ensure comfort year-round. The home sleeps up to 8 guests in four bedrooms (the primary king bedroom and a queen bedroom on the upper floor and one king and one queen in the lower floor of the house). Each bedroom has its own bathroom, giving everyone plenty of privacy, space and comfort. There are six TVs throughout the home in addition to the large projector TV in the media room, along with interior and exterior speakers throughout the house for seamless entertainment. Throughout the house, you'll find fine artwork by Bobby Burgers and Will Rafuse with a mixture of antiques and Restoration Hardware furnishings, lighting and decor. There is a washer and dryer, a laundry sink and all supplies you need for your stay (linens, towels, detergent, cleaning supplies, iron, blow dryers and the like). The main floor of the house has 9' ceilings, the upper floor has 8' ceilings and the lower floor has 7' ceilings. The chef's kitchen has an 8-foot island with stools which is perfect for gathering and cooking large, fun family meals. We have everything you could possibly need to cook an unforgettable meal with a 6-burner gas range, 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, a wine fridge, ice-maker and filtered hot water dispenser. This house is meant for outdoor living: grill outside on the natural gas broil-king barbecue with a searing grill, smoke your favourite meats on the Traeger smoker or make pizzas for the whole family on the Ooni gas pizza oven. Located in Shaughnessy, one of Vancouver’s most prestigious and picturesque neighbourhoods, you will enjoy quiet, oak tree-lined streets while staying close to everything: approximately 15 minutes to downtown - you can walk downtown to the Fifa stadium in about an hour), 10 minutes to Kits Beach, 10 minutes to Granville Island, and 20 minutes to YVR (depending on traffic). The property is entirely gated which provides privacy and security: park your car inside the gates. We are also located within walking distance to a brand new Safeway supermarket and a liquor store. The Georgian House is the ideal spot to explore Vancouver as it's close to everything but offers great peacefulness and serenity when you need to unwind. Guests have use of the entire premises with the exception of two locked rooms and 2 locked closets reserved for the owners’ storage. Gardeners attend once per week and pool maintenance also visits weekly. Guests are required to place garbage and recycling in the lane on scheduled pickup days. Rent the Georgian House with the security and peace of mind that it's a fully licenced short-term rental vacation property compliant with all city and provincial laws: Province of BC Registration Number: H995182494 City of Vancouver Registration Number: # 26-180855 RENTAL RULES - The Guest shall accept all the Rental Rules and shall ensure that all persons in the Rental Party abide by them. 1. Strict Enforcement. The Homeowner reserves the right to evict any Guest or member of the Rental Party if there has been any breach of any of the Rental Rules. No refunds will be provided if an eviction is made. 2. Smoking. Smoking anywhere on the property is strictly forbidden. 3. Additional Guests/Invitees. No persons other than those listed in the Rental Party on the Rental contract may attend at the property at any time unless prior written authorization has been obtained from the Homeowner. This is not a party house. 4. Furnishings. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Do not move any beds or furniture. Only use appliances for their intended uses. 5. Electronics. Do not unplug any cords for any electronics except so as to reboot as required in which case plug back in. Do not change the settings on any electronics including but not limited to the TVs, HDTV boxes or Sonos music system as reprogramming will be required and fees apply. 6. Pets. Pets are not allowed at the property. A breach of this rule will result in immediate eviction and fines without any refund. 7. Cleaning. Cleaning fee covers standard departure cleaning. Additional charges apply for excessive cleaning or waste removal. 8. Check Out. The Guest shall leave the house as they found it: a) properly clean the dishes, pots/pans, cutlery and all other cooking utensils used and put away in proper places; b) clean any spills on the stovetop and oven; c) wash and dry any pool towels used during stay and put away; d) put on the dishwashers with the final load of dishes before departing. 9. Toilets. Do not flush anything other than toilet paper. Feminine hygiene products, trash and/or disposable wipes should not be flushed at any time. 10. Garbage. Sort all garbage and recycling and put in the bins provided in the lane near the garage. Never leave garbage of any kind outside for even a short period of time; it attracts wildlife and rodents. 11. Pool. Pool safety rules: The pool contains certain risks if not used with attentive care and caution. a) Child safety. Never leave a child unsupervised near a pool. b) No Glassware. Only use plastic drinkware provided. c) Close Pool Cover when not in use. d) Alcohol consumption in the pool is not permitted. 12. Noise. Guests must comply with the City of Vancouver Noise Control By-law at all times. Noise must be kept to a reasonable level at all times and must not disturb neighbours. Strict quiet hours are between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM (10:00 AM on Sundays and holidays), during which no outdoor noise or amplified sound is permitted. We reserve the right to evict any guest and/or group about whom we have received a noise complaint. 13. Fines: The following fines apply for breaches of the rental rules: $2000 for violation of no smoking rule or no pets rule $300 for any violation of any other rental rule 14. Administration Fees: $200 per item damaged or broken in addition to cost of replacement $500 for any reprogramming of electronics required after departure of guests $200 to return any items left at the property by the Rental Party $100 for each extra hour of cleaning required beyond 14 hours Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.
