Oakmont Area - Carriage House

Carriage House apartment in East Oakmont is minutes away from Oakmont Country Club and is also close to Longwood at Oakmont and Presbyterian SeniorCare. Two parking spaces provided. Owners live on-site, but are very hands-off unless you need us! TONS of restaurants, shops, and breweries within minutes. The town of Oakmont is one mile away and the infamous Oakmont Bakery is just down the hill. Easily accessed from the PA Turnpike and from Route 28. 11 miles from downtown Pittsburgh. The space Quiet and private space. Two bedrooms - one king, one queen. Lots of natural light in sitting areas. Upper level back deck has views of gardens and large open field - great for sunsets. Large eat-in kitchen. Sunroom is great for morning coffee. Guests share driveway with hosts. Guest access Guests have access to entire carriage house as well as use of backyard. Keypad entry with code provided day of check-in. Driveway is shared with owners and apartment is above our garage. We make every accommodation to minimize our raising or lowering of the garage doors and will notify guests if we need to do that during their stay. There is space to park two cars. The apartment is on the second floor and guests will need to climb one set of stairs - there is no elevator. Other things to note We are happy to help with recommendations for local establishments. We have lived at this address for 35+ years and are very familiar with Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. There are two large grocery stores within 15 minutes' drive. Door Dash knows the address as well. Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are 20-25 minutes away depending on time of day. A Sheetz convenience store is two doors down, within safe walking distance. There is a marina for kayak, canoe, and stand-up paddle board rentals 15 minutes away in Verona. The apartment has indoor, secure parking space for bicycles on ground level. The major stadiums and arenas are 11 miles away and travel times depend on game day traffic. Apps like Waze will be your travel buddies. Carnegie Mellon University, University of Pittsburgh, and their surrounding campuses and communities are 20-25 minutes' drive. Pittsburgh International Airport is a 40 minute drive (unless there is a major event in town and then traffic could be a factor). Lyft and Uber service this area.
