This adorable little spot has been in our family for generations and sits on a area that was once a lagoon over 60 years ago. It offers modern comfort and rustic charm. A perfect setting for a romantic getaway or if you need a retreat to get some work done using our high-speed wifi. ☀ Right on the water ☀ Private beach ☀ Private oyster bed ☀ Pet Friendly ☀ Free Parking ☀ Large grassy area for play ☀ Firepit on the beach ☀ Smoking allowed outdoors only The property is off of a quiet road and is away from the highway: unlike many other homes in the area there is no road noise. Book in the cold months for the best tasting oysters, the rule being months with an R in them. Guests must have a shellfish license and obey all Washington shellfish laws. The beach is rocky with shells and barnacles. Wear water shoes or old shoes you don't mind getting wet. Sandals and flip flops are not going to cut it on the beach. This is a small cabin: just larger than a “tiny home”. The space is optimized to maximize the experience, however there is not a large amount of extra storage space or closets. There is a dresser for folded clothes and hooks for hanging jackets. There is a second cabin on the same property far in the back section where the owner stays occasionally. Dogs must be leashed or attended to at all times. Guests must pick up after their dogs, poop bags are available. Dogs need booties if going out on the beach or the barnacles will cut their paws. For security, we have outdoor cameras at points of entry to the property. Camera 1 is facing the driveway coming in, and Camera 2 faces outward towards the water. The area is subject to and burn bans, especially in the summer. We do not offer compensation for regional burn bans or road closures. Guest access Guests have the privacy of the entire cabin and beach front. Entry is with a key pad that will use the last four digits of your phone number. The cabin is built to be comfortable for two guests. There is a large grassy area for extra guests who wish to tent or bring a trailer to dry camp. We charge just $25 extra for additional guests. Other things to note There are nearby areas for hiking and biking. The hike along the Tahuya river is beautiful and and fairly easy. Biking along Highway 300 is very popular and offers spectacular views. At this time, we do not offer boats, kayaks, or floating devices. Bring your favorite water toys for additional enjoyment.
