Description
Enjoy the simplicity of our hand crafted Mongolian yurts! The yurts are located on our property with on one side a lake and on the other side the forest. You can sleep in the yurt with 2 adults, or a family (we can add beds for kids, no extra charge). In summer and winter, you keep it warm and cosy by making a fire in the wood burning stove. The space Staying in a yurt is a pure experience, whatever the weather. It is the perfect way to relax. A yurt holiday is a choice for an experience, an adventure and the feeling of being part of something special…whether it’s for a weekend or midweek break, a week or a longer holiday. Being together in a round space has a profound effect on people. We know this from experience and our guests also describe this feeling. Thanks to the thick layer of felt insulation, the yurt remains lovely and cool in the spring and summer and warm in the fall and winter. Collecting wood, making a fire, collecting water and enjoying life! Experiencing the satisfaction, enjoying the sense of peace that these activities bring, sitting together around the wood stove, telling stories, communicating with each other. Listening to the wind and the rain on the roof…one more log on the fire…would you like a cup of tea or shall we open a bottle of wine? A yurt holiday is suitable for everyone who is happy at heart and young in spirit. Staying in a yurt stands for ‘quality time’, something which is often scarce in modern life. The area offers beautiful nature and peaceful surroundings and simply spending time together in the yurt is always worthwhile. The site is great for children. They can play outdoors for hours on end, explore the woods, jump on the trampoline, play ball on the basketball court, take the canoe out and enjoy swimming in the lake. Guest access The service cabin is a shared area with other guests. You can use the kitchen and fridge/freezer in the the cabin for all your cooking needs. The bathroom in the cabin has a toilet and shower. This summer we will also put up outhouses (outdoor compost toilets) closer to the yurts. The cabin also has a big dining table and a lounge area with a cosy fireplace. Other things to note When you come to stay with us in the winter (october-april) make sure you bring proper winter clothing! It is no problem keeping it nice and warm in the yurt even if it is -30*C outside. Walking outside in -30*C is very nice with the proper clothing. Think long underwear (preferably wool), ski clothing, wool socks, gloves, a hat and winter boots. The summer in the north of Sweden can be all over the place... It can be sunny out and 30*C or it can be 10*C and raining. So in the summer months (may-sept.) bring shorts but also a sweater ;)
