The Saddlery – Cosy Village Cottage Near the Wolds

The Saddlery is a beautifully restored, detached cottage made for two, combining historic character with modern comfort. Set in the welcoming village of North Thoresby, it offers a peaceful base between the Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape and the coast, with shops and two popular pubs serving food within walking distance. Explore scenic countryside, quiet sandy beaches and traditional seaside towns before returning to your own private retreat. The space This private, detached cottage offers more than 540 square feet of thoughtfully designed accommodation across two floors, with a calm, welcoming atmosphere throughout. Upstairs, the bedroom has a comfortable UK double bed with a four-seasons duvet, high-thread-count white bed linen, generous storage and a dressing table. The spacious bathroom includes a full-size bath, separate power shower and plenty of fluffy white towels. Downstairs, the fully equipped kitchen has a fridge, freezer, oven, hob, microwave, toaster and Nespresso Vertuo machine. Guests wishing to use the coffee machine should bring their preferred Vertuo capsules. The adjoining dining area provides a relaxed setting for meals. The comfortable lounge features a three-piece suite, Smart TV and electric fireplace, creating a cosy place to unwind. Fast fibre-optic Wi-Fi is provided for streaming or occasional remote working. Outside, the private patio has a table and chairs for morning coffee or evening drinks. Free off-road parking is available beside the cottage. A washer/dryer, airer, iron and ironing board are also provided. A generous welcome pack awaits your arrival, including bread, butter, jam, marmalade, orange juice, milk, tea and coffee. Guest access The Saddlery is entirely yours throughout your stay, with its own entrance and private outdoor space. On arrival, you may collect the key from us next door at Sadlers or use the secure key safe beside the cottage entrance; the code will be provided before check-in. One free off-road parking space is available directly beside the cottage. Other things to note Dating from around 1840, The Saddlery was once the village workshop of saddler Ernest “Baggy” Larder. It has been carefully restored to preserve its historic character while providing the comfort and convenience of a modern holiday cottage. The accommodation is arranged over two floors, with the bedroom and bathroom upstairs, so it is unsuitable for guests who cannot comfortably use stairs. The cottage welcomes a maximum of two guests and does not accept pets. Infants under one year may be accommodated by prior arrangement, but guests must bring their own travel cot and bedding. The village restaurants are popular and may book up quickly, so we recommend reserving a table before arrival; contact details are included in your pre-arrival information. The Lincolnshire Wolds Railway operates heritage trains on selected days.
