Bed and (Continental) Breakfast - The Lilac Room

The Lilac Room as seen in the pictures, has its own bedroom furniture with a Queen size bed, full dressers and nightstands, and its own exit sliding glass door. The space Our home describes not only parts of our fun & loving personality, but that of our rich multi cultural backgrounds. In our home you will encounter welcoming yellow walls, Spanish style tile flooring, beautiful artwork & gorgeous ceramics from local small businesses, indoor plants that aide in the breathing of cleaner air by filtering out toxins (most will be for sale), outdoor plants (most will be for sale) that although some may still be in pots, will be in the ground eventually. In the living room you will find comfortable furniture with a slight taste of elegance to welcome you in and watch some television, read some books, or listen to music. Our beginnings were & continue to be very humble & when we decided to open up our home to guests, we knew what we liked & thought why not offer that to traveling future friends. The ambience of our home is welcoming, relaxing, and reenergizing. There are large windows everywhere that give one the opportunity to view the outside while enjoying being inside. There will always be fruit on tables & countertops for everyone to enjoy at all times of the day. If you are a family & have small children, there will be adult rabbits and baby bunnies to see (currently as of 4/28/2019 we have 32 baby bunnies called kits & all under the age of 12 days!). On our 4 acre property, we have 4 outside only dogs in their own separate areas that are to be left to themselves, inside we have a white/orange cat that you’ll more than likely never see, & 1 beautiful singing white dove in her large enclosure upstairs (she enjoys watching me wash dishes). If you’re here during the great weather we tend to have in the Spring & Summer, you will be welcome to our complimentary sit-on kayaks and sit-on fishing kayak to take out on the lake for the day with advance notice where we’ll be more than happy to take and drop you off, & pick you up when you’re done. (The only thing we humbly ask is you not drag the kayaks ever on the ground, but carry them, for they will scratch/tear & be ruined for future guests if not treated kindly). If you happen to be staying for more than just the weekend, we invite you to do your laundry in our washer & dryer we have in our laundry room at no extra cost so you can enjoy clean laundry onto your next adventure. In the hallway outside of your bedroom you will find your own small refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave, coffee & sugar bowls, & flowers in a vase for your convenience. Inside your bedroom you will find a 3 1/2 gallon pitcher of filtered water, bowls, cups, & plates, small electric fireplace heater, towels, beautiful full length mirror, air purifier, kleenex, hand sanitizers, touch lamps, trash bin, wifi password, welcoming letter, a book in which to leave notes, & a binder with plastic sleeves that include pamphlets with the local businesses you may be interested in visiting. There are great local restaurants for your lunch & dinner needs, a Kmart, Safeway, post office, laundromat, CVS Pharmacy, boutique’s, pizza parlors, skating rink, churches, hardware & lumber store, & all within a 10 minute drive. Approximately 30 minutes west of us is a town called Ukiah where you can find the nearest Costco & Walmart. Across from our home within walking distance is a grocery store for extra supplies you may need for your adventure.
