Stay in a 125 year old historic Craftsman home on a peaceful Main Street boulevard, offering a spacious & unique blend of historic character and modern comfort. Unwind after a long day with a luxurious soak in the vintage claw-footed tub. The space We are excited to share our family home with you. Mt. Olive, the City of Oaks, is a sleepy little town located near other communities that offer lots of festivals, antiquing, hunting, and fishing. We stay in this home regularly and hope you will enjoy the peacefulness that we feel when there. *There is a train track about 1/4 mi back in the woods and I can hear it if I'm out in the yard and occasionally during the night, depending on the wind. It passes quickly. *Our neighbors are friendly and we occasionally get a visit from their friendly pup. *There is a great Basket Shop run by a local Mennonite family south of us 4 houses down. She makes her own baskets. *Mimi's is a small diner in town across from the bank and City Hall. Menu changes everyday, but the plate lunch is delicious. Laurel's Festival schedule is listed below. Guest access You will have access to the entire property except one supply closet. Other things to note Our home has four steps at the front and side entrance and 3 lower steps at the back entrance. The original craftsman style porches are free of railings and the drop-off averages about 18 -24 inches. The property has outside lighting. . Walmart (Magee, MS) offers delivery as well as DoorDash. I can also offer you catering service from our local restaurant for evening meals. Mount Olive is centrally located between Laurel (37 mi), Hattiesburg (39 mi) and Jackson (52 mi). The gulf coast and New Orleans are about a 2 hour drive.
