We welome you and hope you enjoy your stay. :) The space Rooms & Spaces at the Garret Studio Apartment Entry & Access – Guests enter through the workshop and ascend a set of stairs to the Garret Studio Apartment. A private passcode ensures secure, easy access upon arrival. Main Studio Space – A bright, airy open-plan room with large windows that fill the space with natural light. It features a generous work surface that doubles as a dining table, perfect for projects, writing, or meals. A comfortable seating nook provides a space to relax. Kitchenette – A compact, supremely functional kitchen area equipped with essentials for cooking and meal prep. Store local produce, cheeses, craft beers, and ciders in the fridge and cupboards. Reading & Meditation Loft – Accessible via a small ladder, this cozy loft space includes a tatami mat, cushions, a futon, and a curated selection of books. Clerestory windows frame views of the Green Mountains, inviting moments of reflection and quiet retreat. Sleeping Area – Thoughtfully designed for rest, the Garret includes a second tucked-away nook with a comfortable sleeping setup, allowing for a restful night’s sleep in a cozy, efficient layout. Bathroom – A petite, thoughtfully designed space, the bathroom features hand-tiled details, a shower, a sink, and all the essentials for a refreshing experience. The Workshop (optional add-on) – As part of People to Place, guests have the option to use the workshop below for creative projects or work sessions. The Land & Surroundings – Nestled in the Green Mountains, People to Place offers a quiet, immersive retreat in nature. Expect birdsong, the rustle of vines, the occasional hoot of an owl, or the distant call of coyotes. Wildlife, including wild turkeys, foxes, and black bears, share this land with us—respectful distance is our mutual agreement. While private and peaceful, your hosts are nearby for occasional conversation or questions. People to Place is inviting and beautiful in all season, but especially in wintertime, with opportunities to explore the Vermont wilderness during the coldest months--making the time to be cozy in the evenings all the more special! Guest access Guests have full access to the Garret Studio Apartment. You’ll enter through the workshop and take the stairs up to your private retreat. While the workshop itself is not included, guests interested in exclusive use should inquire about availability. The surrounding land is yours to explore respectfully, offering a quiet connection to nature.
