Welcome to our four-bedroom mountain home on three wooded acres along the Swannanoa River in Black Mountain. There's room for 10 to gather and unwind, with a year-round hot tub, vintage charm, and several living areas for your group to spread out. Watch the leaves turn from the back deck, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, and reach hiking trails within minutes. Downtown Black Mountain is 5 minutes away, Asheville is 20. Groups return year-round for gatherings, reunions, and weekend escapes. The space Step into a home built for group living. Original hardwood floors and Arts and Crafts details run throughout, and the 2018 renovation brought the house and grounds up to date. The first floor flows for gathering and downtime. The kitchen has a gas range and generous counter space for group meals. The dining area seats everyone, and multiple living areas give your group options: the large TV in the main living room, a quiet sitting room for reading, a bonus room, and board games for cool evenings in. Upstairs are four bedrooms, each with a queen bed, plus two full bathrooms. The primary bedroom opens onto an upper deck with mountain views. A half bath sits on the main floor. The home has central heat and AC in every room. Outdoor space The renovated back deck is your base for grilling and taking in the Blue Ridge sunsets as the leaves turn. Warm up in the hot tub on cool mountain evenings, available year-round. Three acres of grounds run down to the Swannanoa River, a wide rocky waterway for walking and exploring. The full-size in-ground pool is seasonal and reopens in May. There is a separate cottage on the property where our caretaker lives. He helps maintain the grounds and respects guest privacy. You have the whole house and outdoor spaces to yourselves. Location Black Mountain pairs a walkable downtown with easy access to Asheville. You are 5 minutes from local shops, galleries, and restaurants, and 20 minutes from Asheville's food and arts scene. Guest access You'll have the entire house and all outdoor spaces completely to yourselves—the pool, hot tub, decks, grounds, and river access are all yours to enjoy. The pool is seasonal (May through September), and the hot tub is available year-round. There is a separate cottage on the property where our caretaker lives. He helps maintain the grounds and is wonderfully respectful of guest privacy. You'll have total privacy during your stay. Other things to note Parking: Plenty of space in the driveway, plus street parking available Check-in/Check-out: Check-in is at 4:00 PM, check-out is at 11:00 AM Stairs: All bedrooms are upstairs; please keep this in mind if anyone in your party has mobility considerations. Pool: The pool is seasonal (May-September) and unheated. We close it during cooler months for safety and maintenance. River: The Swannanoa is wonderful for wading and playing, but is not deep enough for swimming. Rocky riverbed means water shoes are recommended. Noise: We're in a quiet residential neighborhood. We ask that guests respect our neighbors, especially after 10 PM.
