The space Our lovingly restored vintage ski house was once home to the charming Hope Farm Bookshop. Tucked beside a gently flowing creek in Cornwallville, this inviting Catskills retreat is the perfect place to slow down, gather together, and enjoy the mountains - just minutes from Windham and Hunter. The home comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests across 3 bedrooms and 1.75 bathrooms, making it ideal for families or close-knit groups of friends. Inside, you’ll find a thoughtful mix of historic charm and modern comfort: unwind with a book by the wood-burning stove, sip your morning coffee in the large screened-in porch, and enjoy lingering meals in the luxury kitchen that boasts all new appliances. After a day on the slopes, relax in the marble walk-in shower or take a soak in the clawfoot bathtub. Sleeping arrangements include 5 beds spread across 3 bedrooms and a loft. The first bedroom is located conveniently on the ground-floor and includes a queen bed. The second two bedrooms are located upstairs, one with a full sized bed, the other with both a king and twin size. The final remaining twin sized bed is located in the common loft space upstairs. The full bathroom is located on the ground floor, containing a walk-in marble shower while the 3/4 bath is located upstairs and includes a clawfoot bathtub. Our home is very old and comes with an assortment of quirks that give it the personality that we love. These quirks include very steep stairs up to the second level, gaps in the restored floorboards, and some occasional creeks in the old wood. In addition, while we keep the highest standard of cleanliness, our rural location in the woods means we do get the occasional bug or small rodent guest. The home is on a shared 14 acre property with a separate house where we, the hosts, live—close by if you need anything, while still offering privacy and a peaceful stay. Free driveway parking is included. The home is supplied with firewood for your use in the wood burning stove or in the large outdoor firepit. Towels, linens, and a washer and dryer are available for your use. Perfectly located for year-round adventures, you’re just 15 minutes to Windham Mountain, 25 minutes to Hunter Mountain, 5 minutes to Zoom Flume Waterpark, 30 minutes to the Hudson Amtrak Station, and an easy 2.5-hour drive from NYC.
