Step into a piece of Eaton history! Built 100 years ago by a doctor, this private guest house once served as his office and later as our beloved Gigi’s home. Now it’s a cozy and well-maintained downtown Eaton, Ohio retreat with vintage charm and modern comfort. Enjoy your own outdoor entrance for complete privacy, while we live next door in the main house. A peaceful place to unwind and catch some zzs. The space This private apartment guest house is attached to our main house and offers a cozy, thoughtfully updated space in the heart of downtown Eaton. Guests enjoy a separate exterior entrance. Inside you’ll find a comfortable living room with seating (including a couch that folds out to a queen bed) electric recliner, Roku TV, a fully equipped kitchen with full-size modern appliances, a dinette table, one bedroom with a very comfy queen bed and Amazon Fire TV, and a full bathroom with step-in shower (with grab bars). There’s also in-unit laundry with detergent and softener for added convenience. Because the home is historic, you may hear the occasional footsteps overhead. We’ve taken steps to minimize sound, but the charm of original wood floors can sometimes be heard. Guest access Guests have full, private access to the entire guest house including the living room, eat-in kitchen, bedroom, full bathroom, and in-unit laundry space. You’ll also enjoy your own separate outdoor entry/exit door for added convenience and privacy. (Two entry/exit doors are available but only one has the PIN pad entrance.) This quaint guest house is attached to our home, but there are no shared spaces. The main house and backyard are reserved for our family - though at times the backyard may be available with prior arrangements made. We have 2 dogs, a cat, and a few chickens (hens). We respect your privacy, but we’re nearby if you need anything during your stay. Please feel free to say hello! Other things to note This guest house is part of a 100-year-old home, so you’ll notice original character. With that history may come the occasional creak or subtle footstep sound from overhead, though we’ve taken measures to minimize noise as much as possible. We live in the attached main home, but there are no shared spaces. You’ll have your own private entrance. The property is located downtown, making it convenient to local shops, restaurants, walking distance to a movie theater, and community events. Street activity is typically light (especially in the evening and overnight hours), but you may hear normal neighborhood sounds. We are located 2-3 blocks from the train crossing, though it's not well heard inside! We want you to feel comfortable and informed before booking — if you have any questions at all, just reach out!
