Guests will encounter steps at the front entrance, a step down into the living room, a step down into the attached garage/game room, and a step down into the backyard from the living room. The home is not wheelchair accessible and may not be suitable for guests with mobility challenges or those unable to safely navigate stairs. Additionally, our home is a charming older property that we've worked hard to update and maintain while preserving its character. While it comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests, please note that there is only one full bathroom in the home. For larger groups, we recommend considering whether sharing a single bathroom will work well for your stay. We want all of our guests to have a comfortable experience and appreciate your understanding before booking. Guest access You are welcome to enjoy the entire home, attached garage, and backyard. Please note the detached garage is not accessible to guests. Other things to note Pet Policy - Please read and acknowledge if you are bringing a pet! Sorry, at this time we do not allow cats. We are dog friendly and happy to welcome well-behaved house-trained dogs. You must let us know in advance of your stay if you are bringing a pet and receive approval prior to booking. We charge a $75 pet fee. Bringing a pet without approval will result in a $250 fee. All pets must stay off furniture and bedding. While we understand that dogs will bark, we work hard to respect our kind neighbors, so excessive barking is not allowed. We have a full acre yard for your furry friends to enjoy, but for the safety of your pet and our neighbors, dogs must be leashed while outside. Any pet damage or excessive shedding may incur additional cleaning fees and/or fines. Why do we charge pet fees? We use money from pet fees to shampoo our rugs and provide additional cleaning to our home. Whatever pet fees are unused during the year on pet-related upkeep we will donate at the end of the year to the Perry County Humane Society, a no kill animal shelter in DuQuoin, IL.
