The living room was comfortable and great to spend time in. Having two bathrooms was great. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking implements; things were labeled and easy to find. Nice seating areas outside to soak in the view of the water and islands. We saw otters, seals, and a bald eagle. Would definitely stay here again! Great viewpoints from the family room, master bedroom and wrapping outdoor deck. Steps lead to a private beach. So fun to watch the ferry both during the day and night. There is only one full bath for this three bedroom home. The third bedroom is located in a separate side building (garage). There is no bathroom in the separate side building. Has a nice sunny fenced side yard with chairs and a swing and two covered swings on the deck. Close to the ferry for convenient departure. One of my favorite rentals for relaxing. Regardless of all the other bonuses of this place, the view tops it all; from the moment we walked in to the moment we had to tear ourselves away, we couldn’t get enough of this gorgeous active view. We saw so much wildlife just from the porch including humming birds, bald eagles, and river otters, plus the ferries and other boats coming and going. We would recommend anyone stay here! Third bedroom was in the garage and had a strong smell of fuel or oil. Note that the pictures do not show a third bedroom or a second bathroom, only a powder room. The third bedroom in the detached garage does not have a bathroom. Guests had to go outside and into the main house to use the bathroom - accessed by going into someone's bedroom. The home was spacious, cozy, and welcoming. We saw a bald eagle perched above the beach our first evening, and a seal swimming in the bay. The furniture is tasteful, comfortable, and homely. We loved the views from the living/dining area and the master bedroom. We hiked the shark reef nature trail and saw seals hunting fish through the clear waters and can could hear stellar sea lions barking near by. We had a wonderful time and would love to stay here again. Highly recommend! The view was fantastic! We loved walking down to the beach, and how easy it was to get to shops, restaurants, and the ferry. Inside, the house is well appointed and family friendly. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. There were lots of books and movies, including kid's books and movies. The sofas were cozy, the beds clean and comfy, and the bath towels were the fluffiest I have ever used. The large soaking tub was amazing! We felt so relaxed here, and can't wait to come again. My family and I had an incredible experience staying at this property. The house is immaculate and the views are stunning especially the sunrises and sunsets. We spent a whole day just sitting outside in the balcony watching the ferries and boats go by the channels. It is the perfect escape to the san juan islands.
