Centrally-located, rural, and updated, this home sits on over an acre and is only 1 hr from Mt. Hood ski resorts or Bend, 35 min from Smith Rock State Park or Kahneeta Resort, and 25 min from The Cove Palisades State Park on Lake Billy Chinook. Boasting 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this home sleeps 8 and is kid and pet friendly. Come enjoy the views at the Country Casa! The space Living Room: Sectional couch, extra large chair, desk for working, NON-OPERATIONAL fireplace, big tv, sectional pulls out into full/queen sofa bed (bedding under chaise section - just lift up) Dining Room: Table seats 5, plus 2 additional chairs can be gathered from around the house. Also 2 additional seats at the kitchen counter. Highchair available and pet food/water bowls area. Kitchen: Well-appointed with everything you need to cook and enjoy your time here. Coffee area and local coffee beans available. Hallway: Gaming closet at beginning of the hallway. Emergency bedding, towels, first aid kit in closet at the end of the hallway. Bedroom 1: Full bed (sleeps 2), tv, alarm clock with charging station, closet with storage as well as extra pillows and bag of extra bedding. Bunk Bedroom: Sturdy bunkbed with 2 twin beds, tv, alarm clock with charging station, kids play area (tent, stuffed animals, books), closet with storage as well as extra pillows and 2 bags of extra bedding. Pack n play (mobile crib) available in this closet. Primary Bedroom: King size bed, tv, alarm clock with charging station, closet with storage as well as extra pillows and bag of extra bedding. Ensuite bathoom with stand up shower. Laundry Room: Washer and dryer available, laundry bins, detergent, extra hook for hanging up clothes (steamer & iron on shelf). Please DO NOT access cupboards in laundry room. Door leads to garage that has table and chairs that can be used outside. Out back: Fenced in backyard (smaller animals may be able to escape) with firepit area available for use. Out front: The best sunsets and views of the Cascade Mountain Range (on a clear day you can see Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Washington, Three Fingered Jack, and the Sisters Mountains)! Note: The sprinklers turn on automatically most mornings to help maintain the yard and create a fire safety area around the house. Yard care is provided on a regular basis as well - if you are staying for more than a few days you may see a yard care person at the house taking care of the lawn for your benefit. They won’t be there long and don’t need access to inside the house. :) This is a rural home just 5 min from stores in Madras. You can enjoy looking at the neighboring horses and hearing chickens. Come ready to relax and take in the views! Guest access Entire house and yard available for use. Garage available for use, but please no smoking or vaping in garage or in any part of the house. No garage parking. Plenty of parking out back behind the house, along the side or in front. Other things to note TVs are all Roku TVs with Guest Mode so you can sign-in to your streaming services to watch your shows. Internet is fast and reliable (Starlink)! The house is located on a road that is only partially paved on one end. Please drive slow and note the potholes for a short distance until you make it to the driveway that leads up to the house. The driveway is a little steep and up top you need to be aware of where the drop-off edge is. It’s a short driveway though and anyone can navigate it if you’re careful! Reflectors have been placed all along the driveway and if you book the house please note that we are NOT responsible for any accident you have if you aren’t careful on the driveway. Even trucks pulling boats and large trailers can make it up and down if you are careful. Please note the roof line around the house and steer clear with your vehicles as it sticks out about 4 feet from the house people sometimes don’t notice it when it taller vehicles or when pulling something. Once at the top of the driveway you can park in front of the garage or drive past the side of the house to the back where there is plenty of room to turn around and easily can fit several more vehicles. Feel free to enjoy the fenced in backyard and the fire pit. Please do NOT try to enter the backyard shed or go into the pasture property next door through the locked gate. If you bring a dog, please use the shovel by the shed to scoop up your pet’s poop and utilize the dog bags provided (on the counter in the laundry room) and throw away in the trash.
