The space Your Detroit adventure begins in this 3-bedroom first floor unit of a 2-unit house. With 2 queen beds and a bunk bed, this comfortable retreat is perfect for families or friends looking for a pleasant stay. The neighborhood is generally quiet with friendly neighbors, families and children. Free off-street parking is available and street parking is also plentiful and free. This unit features a full kitchen including a GE oven with features such as no-preheat pizza baking and no-preheat air fryer. Air fryer pans and a pizza heating stone are provided to take advantage of these features. Most of the furniture is mid-century modern in design, some of which are vintage pieces. Located just 10-15 minutes from downtown Detroit, minutes off I-94, it is great for sporting events, concerts and other activities that Detroit has to offer. The airport is about 30 minutes drive, easily accessed via I-94. The second floor unit is reserved for the owner, when in town, as he splits his time between Detroit and New York. Feel free to inquire as to whether he will be around during your stay. He will stay out of sight as much as possible, and will limit interactions with guests, unless invited by guests. Guest access The entire first floor unit is available for your use. This also includes off street parking and use of the recreational and agricultural space on the lot next to the house (when completed). There is a BBQ grill on the front porch. Entry is via a 4 digit code, no need to deal with keys. Other things to note Chandler Park is just a few minutes drive, and features a golf course, skate park, domed sporting facility and more. Grocery shopping is available at Public Foods (local grocery store with most basic needs) which is about a mile away on E Warren. For more upscale, gourmet grocery items you can go to Village Market, about 7-8 minutes drive down E Warren on Mack Ave. There is a laundromat across from Public Foods, less than a mile away (2-3 minute drive) if needed.
