Holiday home in a green area

Welcome to our oasis of tranquility. Being located on a historical and green location in the Achterhoek, you can fully enjoy the nature. Centuries ago, a castle called ‘Huis Ulft’ was located on the premises. It used to belong to the sister of one of the Netherlands most important historical figures. Nowadays, the location still resembles a fairytale’s beauty. The cottage is comfortably equipped with facilities as a large private terrace, multiple unique bedrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen. The space The holiday home features a spacious living area with a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy dining table, a sitting area, and a television with Chromecast. The kitchen includes all modern conveniences such as an oven, freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. After preparing a delicious meal, you can enjoy it at the long dining table indoors or outside on the spacious terrace. The cottage can accommodate up to seven adults and offers four uniquely themed bedrooms. The toilet and bathroom are separate and come with towels for your use. On sunny days, you can relax endlessly on your private terrace overlooking the meadows, taking in the peaceful scenery and the sounds of various birds. You’ll see our horses grazing and guinea fowl wandering about. The French doors in the living area open up to allow for balmy summer evenings and barbecues. Upon request, you can also take a refreshing dip in the saltwater swimming pool (usually open from late May to early September). Please note: the pool is shared and not for exclusive use. Each of the four bedrooms has its own character and theme: The Blue Room: This bedroom, adjacent to the living room on the ground floor, is entirely decorated in shades of blue. It’s an intimate space suitable for two guests, featuring a 150 cm wide antique French bed and a chest of drawers for personal belongings. The Pompadour Room: Step back into the aristocratic era of Huis Ulft in this romantic bedroom adorned with antique French decor. The room features a 150 cm wide bed and exudes an old-world charm. The Napoleon Room: Located on the right side of the first floor, this room pays tribute to perhaps the most famous figure in French history. It offers a 140 cm wide bed, a desk, a chest of drawers, and a beautiful view over the meadows through a large window. The Frida Room: Opposite the Napoleon Room, this space honors Mexico’s most iconic female artist. It is the largest bedroom in the house, featuring a king-size (180 cm) bed, a table with two chairs, a spacious wardrobe, and two windows that offer views of the surrounding greenery. There are plenty of activities to enjoy in the area surrounding the cottage. The region is especially known for its scenic cycling routes, but there is much more to explore. Inside the cottage, you’ll find brochures and flyers with information about local activities, beautiful walking and cycling trails, and restaurant recommendations. We’re also happy to provide personal tips or help you plan your stay. Guest access Important! Do you have a booking for two persons? Then you will have access to the Blue room and all communal rooms. Would you also like access to the other bedrooms? Then make a booking for three persons. Do you book a longer stay? Then the home will be cleaned every other week. We will charge a surcharge of €50 per cleaning. Other things to note The swimming pool can only be used in consultation with us. Towels, kitchen linen, bed linen, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets and cleaning supplies are at your disposal. You can always ask if you need anything else.
