Miss Amanda's House

Enjoy your stay in this home-away-from. Built in 1870, this two bedroom, two bath has plenty of charm, while still offering many modern amenities. A fully furnished kitchen allows you to cook up fun dishes and the large living room is a cozy place to gather. Historic, downtown Cannon Falls and the Cannon Valley bike trail are just a couple blocks away. Nestled on a dead end street, Miss Amanda's home is in a quiet area while still close (less than 3 min) to Hwy 52 and Hwy 19. The space The home contains two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, front and back entry (which doubles as a laundry room), and an open living and dining room. The house sits on a corner lot which allows for plenty of outdoor play if you have children. Both bedrooms are upstairs. One bedroom holds a full bed while the other offers a twin over full bunk bed. There is also a twin air mattress available and plenty of couch space. The large living and dining room allow for wonderful gathering time. The kitchen is fully furnished with baking sheets, a crockpot, coffee maker, toaster and plenty of pots and pans. If you have any specific questions about the kitchen, please don't hesitate to ask. You'll enjoy a quiet neighborhood with a large backyard and furnished deck with a view into a wooded area. There is also a fire pit available for you to use. Roasting sticks are available upon request (because you can't have a fire without a s'more!) Guest access The entire home is available to guests with the exception of the basement, pantry and one upstairs closet; all of which are locked. In addition, you're welcome to use the entirety of the yard. The garage, hoop building, and outside storage closet (off the house) are not yet available for guests. If you are interested in using the garage for your car, please let me know and I will accommodate for an additional fee if possible. Other things to note I really love hosting small groups or individuals that are coming to town for work or pleasure! And, I've discovered, I very much enjoy hosting folks for longer stays. You'll find this is a great home to stay for a couple weeks or a couple months at a time. Because of that, there are a few things to know that might be helpful if you'd like to book Miss Amanda's home. Both bedrooms are on the upper level. The staircase is original to the house and, because of that, is a little steep. I've included pictures for parents with small children. This house is my home when it is not being rented out. Rest assured, you will have the entire home to yourself. Other than it being more fully furnished than most Airbnb's, my hope is that is feels more like your home when you are there than mine.
