We’re a husband-and-wife small business, not corporate-owned, who have lovingly worked hard to update this little cottage while keeping its charm and character to share with our guests! This cozy 2-bedroom, 1-bath home offers a warm, charming — shiplap heated sleeping porch with a queen murphy bed. This cottage is not sleek or modern but intentionally kept true to its history. The décor blends vintage touches with a cozy cottage aesthetic, inviting you to slow down and enjoy life’s quieter moments .Please note: This cottage features cozy, smaller spaces. We do our best to make it feel as spacious as possible, but keep in mind that a cottage is inherently a compact space. The bathroom is perfect for one person at a time and is also on the smaller side. Refreshed entryway, a sliding patio door opening to a spacious deck with breathtaking views, a beautifully renovated bedroom, and a relaxing outdoor sitting area perfect for unwinding. Plus, we've given the exterior a fresh, cottage-inspired look with a soothing sage green finish—making the whole space feel warm and inviting. Wake up to the sound of birds and sights of deer, spot the neighborhood beavers, cranes, cardinals, rabbits, squirrels and much more to see! Take a stroll along the historic I&M Canal trail, or sip your morning coffee on the porch surrounded by trees and nature. Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped galley kitchen, a comfortable living area, and spaces that feel like home — perfect for relaxing after exploring Morris’s quaint downtown shops, antique stores, and local restaurants. Step outside and enjoy close access to the historic I&M Canal Trail, perfect for walking, biking, or spotting wildlife. Nearby, explore Gebhardt Woods State Park and William G. Stratton State Park for fishing, kayaking, or picnicking by the river. You’re also just minutes from downtown Morris, where you’ll find charming shops, antique stores, and cozy cafés. Our charming 1930's cottage is located in a quiet, very safe, established neighborhood where many of the homes were built in the 1930s and 1940s. Some homes have been beautifully updated, while others have remained in the same families for generations and reflect the character of a historic neighborhood. We take great pride in keeping our cottage exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for every guest. While some neighboring homes may not be maintained to the same standard as our property, our neighbors are friendly, respectful, and keep to themselves. We simply believe in being transparent so guests know what to expect and can book with confidence. To keep the cottage enjoyable for all, we are a no pets, no smoking/vaping in the home. Thank you! Guest access Guests have full access to the entire home, with the exception of a few locked storage areas where we keep extra supplies and cleaning items. Other things to note Please Note the Following: For everyone’s peace of mind, we do have **outdoor security cameras and a ring doorbell** on the property, but there are **no cameras inside the cottage**. **Seasonal Ladybug Notice** Our home sits along a beautiful canal and near wooded areas. During certain times of the year, ladybugs (lady beetles) naturally migrate indoors seeking warmth to hibernate. While we have a professional pest control company that regularly treats the home, some ladybugs can be quite persistent and may still find their way inside. This is a seasonal and natural occurrence associated with being near water and nature and, unfortunately, cannot be completely prevented. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy the unique charm of staying close to the outdoors. ** Because this is a historic home, you will find original touches throughout, including slightly sloping floors that are common in older properties.**
