Our home is a new detached house on the shore of the Kemijoki river, 12 km from Rovaniemi in the direction of Kemi. The house is in a scenic, quiet area. Our home has all the modern facilities and equipment, automatic heating and air conditioning. Sauna, bathroom and toilet, free WIFI, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, induction stove/oven, fireplace, etc. Open terrace towards Kemijoki. Our home is great, especially for families with children. A spacious and quiet yard gives children the opportunity to be outdoors. The space Villa Puistola is in a quiet and scenic location on the banks of the Kemijoki River. The house's large terrace faces the Kemijoki river. The midnight sun in the middle of summer is fascinating, because we are on the Arctic Circle. In winter, the weather is cool or cold, the daylight hours are short and there is plenty of snow. The city of Rovaniemi (12 km away) offers a wide range of services: Excellent hiking trails and winter sports opportunities at Ounasvaara, Rovaniemi Church (beautiful altar fresco), Science Centre Arktikum (permanent exhibition of the Arctic), Lappia House, Santa's Workshop, Santa Park, Santa's Chamber, etc. Ranua Arctic Animal Park is 75 km away. A reasonable day trip to the fell areas of Pyhä-Luosto, Levi and Ylläs. Guest access The entire house and yard is at the guests' disposal. There is also free access to the river shore. In winter, the river is frozen, but in autumn and spring the ice can be dangerously weak. In summer, the nearby forests are great hiking areas. In summer, berry picking and mushroom picking are great nearby. Other things to note The house has automatic air conditioning and heating. Guests are not allowed to touch the heating controls. Guests can also use the house sauna and heat the fireplace. Firewood is included in the rent. Guests can the house's washing machine and dishwasher. The house has a carport with a heating plug for the engine heater. The use of the car's electric interior heater is not allowed, as the fuse of the socket does not withstand the resistance of the interior heater.
