When adventure calls, it’s only a short drive to downtown Chattanooga, Ruby Falls, Rock City, and miles of hiking trails and riverfront scenery. 🌿 About River Gorge Hideaways A collection of unique stays set on a scenic 5-acre property inside the Tennessee River Gorge. We are family owned and operated. Each space is handcrafted and personally cared for by us—we live on property, so we’re here to proved prompt assistance should you need anything during your stay. We’ve been lovingly improving the land around River Gorge Hideaways. Our current project is the area just behind The Sapphire, where we’re extending and creating an even more inviting outdoor oasis. All work pauses during guest stays, but you may notice some areas still taking shape as we continue to enhance the grounds. 🌿 The land offers rolling mountain views, glimpses of the river, and a serene natural setting. Our accommodations include The Sapphire Guest House and The Pearl Airstream, which can be booked together for larger groups. Our newest unique stay The Ruby Skoolie is expected to open in fall 2026. Guest access Guests have access to The Sapphire, including the hot tub, gas fire pit, and deck. Other things to note ⏰ TIME ZONE TIPS The property sits right on the line between Central and Eastern time zones, so your phone might switch depending on your carrier. Downtown Chattanooga also follows Eastern Time, while nearby Marion County runs on Central—please plan accordingly when exploring the area. 👥 Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests Please note: The Sapphire is best suited for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children. While it can accommodate 4 adults, the space may feel tight and less comfortable for these groups. 🚪 Check-In & Check-Out Check-in: 4:00 PM EST | 3:00 PM CST Check-out: 12:00 PM EST | 11:00 AM CST We’re unable to offer early check-ins or late check-outs at this time. Keeping this schedule allows us to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and continue improving the property without impacting your stay. We’re happy to accommodate additional vehicles when needed — please inquire ahead of your stay so we can make arrangements. 🏞️While the property offers beautiful glimpses of the Tennessee River, please note there is no direct river access from River Gorge Hideaways. Nearby public access points are available within a short 2 minute drive for guests who’d like to explore the water.
