Panoramic ViewPad - huge deck, hot tub, game room!

It's eye candy: 180º Columbia River views, the roaring Dalles Dam, twinkling city lights, sunsets, rainbows, barges! Walk into an airy great room: find a large island, cook’s dream kitchen, roomy couch and gas fireplace. Sliding glass doors transport you to the deck with couch/glass fire pit. Play in the garage game room or soak in the hot tub. This pet friendly space is nestled high on the quiet east side of town. 5 mins. to downtown, 20 to Hood River. Find the "Best Dam View" at "The ViewPad"! The space The main room of this one level house is serene and spacious, with beautiful natural light from tall windows and a double sliding glass door out onto the deck. There is kitchen island, with 4 padded swivel bar stools. Kitchen is fully equipped, and stocked with cooking essentials, like spices, oils, tea and coffee. The handcrafted Oregon oak dining table gives you an elevated view of the river, with seating for 8. You can chat with anyone from the sectional couch, settle in to read by the gas fireplace or watch the smart TV. We have books and games for many ages in the main room, and a stereo that iPhone users can access, or use the bluetooth speaker from the game room. The garage/game room has its own AC/heat and is right off the main room. Play a game of table top pool, foosball, ping pong or darts. The master bedroom/bath has beautiful river views, a memory foam king sized mattress and adjoining bath. The queen also has a memory foam mattress and is very quiet. Both rooms have luggage racks in the closets. The bunk room can sleep 4. Baths have relaxing rain showers, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. All rooms have live plants, charging stations, reading lights, blackout curtains smart TV's. Full laundry facilities are in the hall. The 10x30' deck features an outdoor lounge set, gas firepit and wonderful views. Watch the barges, see the planes landing across the river, or enjoy a sunset and twinkling city lights. You'll find a brand new Weber gas grill to the east side. The view is surprisingly excellent from the hot tub down below the deck. Bring some flip flops and we provide the beach towels! We do have two booster seats and a pack 'n play crib for the infants. Guest access The whole house is yours! Other things to note Garbage collection is Wednesday. Sometimes we leave the cans by the curb for pickup and appreciate if you want to bring them back down to the east side of the house. Our housekeeper usually handles this when guests are coming/going. There is a recycling blue bin outside(bi-weekly) for paper, cardboard and aluminum. We also offer can/bottle and separate glass recycling in the garage. Participate if you can - it's your vacation - but we thank you for your efforts.
