The Starfish Cottage private oceanfront retreat on Lighthouse road 1 mile from the Head Harbour Lighthouse where at low tide you can walk on the ocean floor to visit the island the lighthouse is on. The Starfish renovated and has a lovely master bedroom with qu bed, 2nd br with qu bed, 3rd with bunks and loft with twin. Enjoy ocean views, whales, seals, eagles, sunsets in screened porch, master br, on decks, in large flat yard, at bonfire or the adirondack chairs. You won't regret your stay! The space Another fantastic renovation at the Starfish in early 2024. We have added on a full size living room attached to the original living room, added kitchen and counter space. Added a pantry and cabinets with pull out shelves. We also added a nice size living room overlooking the ocean as well as a new screened in porch and more open decks to give you even better views of the amazing ocean and wildlife that frequents in front of the Starfish Cottage. The Starfish Cottage underwent a major renovation in 2016 and then an addition in 2019 which added a large master bedroom with patio door that opens on to an open deck that overlooks the ocean. The bedroom has a queen bed as well as seating areas with large windows and patio doors opening up the view to you! The Starfish cottage has several different areas to relax from the open decks, the screened in porch which is great for dining alfresco or watching sunsets or enjoying the outdoors after sunsets. The sunsets are stunning from all areas of the cottage. There is a large and flat and open yard overlooking the water which is great for gatherings, picnics and games. The bonfire pit and adirondack chairs add to your fun! There is a deck that overlooks the water with adirondack chairs also which is great for watching the sunsets, whales that pass by, seals and eagles and the ships that pass. The cottage has three bedrooms and a loft with two twin floor mattresses also which is fun for the kids for playing! The cottage is one mile from the Head Harbour Lighthouse and 1/2 mile from a fishermans wharf where you can watch the fisherman bring in their catch for the day. Guests love our 4 private oceanfront cottages because they are private from one another and offer more space and amenities including wifi internet for each cottage. The Starfish cottage has a washer and dryer at the cottage also. You won't regret your stay! Guest access The cottage will be unlocked with a key on a hook in the entryway. Upon final departure just close the door and leave the key on the same hook. There are exit doors out the front of the cottage, sliding patio door out of the Master bedrooms and Living room and out the screened in porch. All of the windows are new and easy to operate for emergency exit. Upon arrival and final departure please text us so we can let the cleaning lady know. If you have time to start a load of linens before you leave that is very helpful to the cleaning lady. Other things to note The Starfish cottage has had another amazing addition in 2024 with the addition of a new living room, screened in porch and open decks overlooking the ocean. Like us @ Campobello Island Oceanfront Cottages East Coast Ferry runs the ferry service from Campobello to Deer Island to New Brunswick. From US take the bridge at Lubec, Maine 04652 to cross over to the island. Whale Watch companies include East Quoddy Tours and kayaking at seascapekayaktours Restaurants on the island include The Pier Waterfront, Porch Waterfront at Friars Bay, Prince Cafe @ Roosevelt Park and Herring Cove and Lodge Golf Course Restaurant. In Lubec, Maine there are several including Water Street Tavern and Inn at the Wharf. Firewood can be purchased at Campobello Gift House at Herring cove campground on the island for the firepit. Charcoal grill at the cottage so if you bbq please bring charcoal and fluids. Trash pick up is early Friday morning so put only bagged trash in the trash bins at the end of the driveway. You can leave recyclable cans and bottles if you want . There is a new Fish Market called Point Star Seafoods down the street from the cottage which will regularly have Halibut, Scallops, lobster, haddock, pollock and clams. Enjoy your stay!
