This home is near a handful of local colleges & universities. For the nature lovers, we are near the Appalachian Trailhead, the Cascade Falls, the New River, & Mountain Lake. The area boasts horse trails,fishing,biking,hiking, swimming,canoeing,kayaking,caving, golfing,rafting, & hunting. Dogs welcome (under 35 lbs) - 2 max The space Our home is accessible by a ramp up to the front door. As you enter, you are greeted by a warm and inviting living area, seamlessly connected to a dining space and well equipped kitchen. For your convenience, cabinets and drawers are labeled. While our two bedroom home can sleep up to five adults (one queen bed, one full/double bed, one sofa/pull out futon), we do have one full single occupancy bathroom. You may need to schedule your shower times. This is a shower stall only. No bathtub. The queen bedroom includes a vanity that also functions perfectly as a workspace - ideal for getting ready or catching up on emails during your stay. Sit outside and enjoy your morning coffee with Bigfoot while you gaze upon mountain peaks. Don't be surprised to see the occasional four legged friend pass through the yard. Experience ultimate comfort in our cozy home, where every room (with the exception of the bath and mudrooms) is equipped with a ceiling fan with light. Plus, each fan comes with a remote control, allowing you to adjust fan lighting and airflow with ease. Our home also has a gas furnace to keep you warm in the cooler months, and air conditioning to keep you cool during the warmer months. The overhead and outdoor light switches are located on the left-hand side of doorway when entering the house. The overhead lights are also controlled by the ceiling fan remotes. There is a light function on each remote. Our space offers high-speed internet, perfect for both work and play. Unwind in the livingroom with a 55" Samsung Smart TV, where you can stream your favorite shows or movies. This home is within walking distance to the heart of the charming town of Narrows. We are a couple minutes' drive to the local grocery store, laundromat, and restaurant. We are also near Virginia Tech, Radford University, New River Community College, Concord University, Bluefield State University, and Bluefield College providing easy access to cultural and educational amenities. For the safety and security of our guests and property, please note that there are Ring doorbells/cameras installed on the exterior of the home, one being located on the front porch, and one being located at the back door. These devices act as two-way communication when the button is pushed. The property is also monitored by these devices. There are no interior cameras. Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to providing a comfortable and secure stay. The solid white circle light you see on the Ring doorbell/camera is indicating the camera is in "idle" mode. This pattern applies to hardwired doorbells/cameras and battery-powered doorbells/cameras that are hardwired. Our home is a perfect blend of comfort and functionality for a peaceful retreat. Welcome Home! Guest access Entire home and yard are available for use. Please be aware of the branch to the right of the house (front side facing). Please be aware of the two brick columns at the front of the driveway. Please be cautious pulling in the driveway and backing out. You may pull your vehicle all the way up to the timbers in the yard for parking. Other things to note We know dogs are normally unemployed, so your best buddy stays for free! Maximum of 2 dogs; under 35 lbs each. An assortment of wildlife passes through the yard, mostly at night. Specific remotes for each ceiling fan are found in their corresponding rooms. There is also an overhead light function on each remote. Please ensure light switches on wall are in the on position to operate ceiling fans/lights. A shoe/boot tray may be located under the sofa. Extra bath towels and hand towels may be located in labeled chest of drawers in queen bedroom. Extra washcloths may be located in labeled bathroom cabinet. Extra throw blankets may be located in black ottoman in livingroom. Pillows and bedding for the sofa/pull out futon may be located in the back bedroom closet. First Aid Kit may be located in the medicine cabinet in bathroom. For your added safety, a fire extinguisher is located on the kitchen cart in front of window.
