The Farmhouse at Springhaven Farm
The Farmhouse at Springhaven Farm
Description
This charming farmhouse sits on a beautiful property with a lavender farm, pumpkin patch, and fire pit in the spacious backyard. It's centrally located in historic Spring City, just off of Main Street and walking distance from quaint shops and restaurants in town. For access to the barn for larger events, workshops, or reunions, please contact us to discuss those details. The space Come be rejuvenated at the Farmhouse at Springhaven Farm – our one acre plot in the heart of historic Spring City, Utah. It was recently built to today's highest standards but in the historic style of the pioneer homes of the area, offering the best of both worlds. Our family Farmhouse has been the center of many family gatherings and wonderful memories, and we would love for you to have the same. With four bedrooms and three full baths, it comfortably accommodates eight people. The main floor bedroom has one double bed; the Yellow Room has one queen bed; the Red Room has one double and a built-in triple bunk bed; and the Blue Room has one queen and one single. The home sleeps 8 in beds, but unfortunately we can not allow more. NO TENTS, CAMPERS, RV's or MOTORHOMES allowed for additional sleeping, as per a Spring City ordinance. The farmhouse lives large, but is cozy enough to make smaller groups enjoy the space just as much. Crisp white linens and towels and basic necessities are provided. You will enjoy the large fully-stocked kitchen with spacious counters, a family-sized eating area with double doors that swing open to the living room, and doors that access the farmhouse porch. The views from there stretch across the large grass area, the tree house, the Barn and outbuildings and onto the snow capped peaks of Horseshoe Mountain. There is a simple beauty to enjoy at the farm. There is a natural spring (which runs intermittently) meandering through the length of the property. Take a long walk or bike ride along the quiet streets of Spring City. You will likely see deer, sheep, chickens, geese, llamas or any other of Spring City’s many animal residents. Or best of all, just curl up with a good book on the side porch. Rural Spring City is located in scenic Sanpete County, and lies in the shadow of Horseshoe Mountain. Sanpete County is renown for it’s wealth of Pioneer Historic homes, and Spring City is it’s gem. The entire town is listed on the National Historic Register, and in 2010 Forbes Magazine named it one of “America’s Prettiest Towns.” Slow down and enjoy Spring City’s unhurried pace – the town has no traffic lights, a renown Café, a lovely Sweet Shop and many art galleries and studios. Having been discovered by artists years ago, it has grown into a vibrant Arts Community that attracts visitors from far and wide. The main Gallery is housed in the restored “Strates Garage”, a turn-of-the-century auto showroom that now displays the work of local artists. Whether you come for the Historic Architecture, the quiet rural pace, or the Art Events & Festivals – Spring City is sure to rejuvenate the soul. Guest access When staying at the Farmhouse, you'll have access to the home and 1-acre property with the fire pit and lavender field (please no picking lavender). On the property, there is also a historic log cabin and a timber-framed barn – these are not accessible for guests to enter with the standard rental. BARN EVENT RENTAL - The beautiful timber framed barn is also available for rent at an additional cost. It is perfect for workshops, retreats, weddings, and other gatherings. Please contact us for more information and pricing. Other things to note Fall and winter are lovely times at the farm. The fall colors in the nearby Manti La Sal National Forest are breathtaking, and Skyline Drive makes for a lovely way to enjoy the autumn colors. When the snow flies there is a peaceful serenity around town, and it is hard to beat the tranquility of being on cross-country skis, snowshoes, or even a snowmobile in designated areas of the national forest. Snowmobile rentals and tours are available nearby.
