There are no stores on Cayo Costa so you will definitely want to stock up on groceries before you get there which you will want to do before arriving to your water taxi in Bokeelia. there is a Publix on Pine Island that you can stock up before you embark to Cayo Costa. We suggest you purchase bottled water for your stay. Our water is clean, however, after hurricane's Helene and Milton there has been a hint of salinity so we choose to drink bottled water but we use the ice in the ice maker and it seems fine. For your leisure there are beach chairs, beach towels and an umbrella at your disposal along with cooler bags for a picnic on the beach as you watch the sun float into the water. We ask that you do not take any glass wear to the beach as this is prohibited by the state. Due to the fact that Cayo Costa is a turtle sanctuary the state asks that we keep our golf carts off the state "roads" and the beach and no pets on the beach so we are very firm on no pets allowed.
