The Desert Hideaway: A simple, no-frills, 1-bedroom apartment featuring a private bedroom, living room, kitchen, and bathroom (shower, no bathtub). Also equipped with a covered Gazebo / Patio area, with a covered fire pit. It is a clean, cozy place to rest between desert excursions. 2. Private RV Site: For those traveling with their own rig, we offer a private RV site with full hook-ups (power, water, and sewer). ● Stand-Alone: Book the RV site independently for a private, scenic stay. ● Combined Stay: Available in conjunction with the apartment for an additional fee—perfect for larger groups or families traveling together. ● Payment: All extra fees for pets will be collected securely through the Airbnb Resolution Center as per Airbnb's Off-Platform. You may notice active projects, including the removal of dead trees and fresh replanting. While the interior of your sanctuary is fully prepared for your comfort, the exterior is undergoing a transformation to better honor the beauty of the high desert. Before we confirm your stay, we like to make sure our guests are fully prepared for the 'Dyer experience.' Our property is a simple, restful outpost in a very remote farming community. Just a quick heads-up to help you plan: The Esmeralda Market in town is great for snacks, drinks, and fuel, but for actual groceries, the nearest full-service supermarkets are about 80 miles away in Bishop, CA, or Tonopah, NV. I highly recommend doing a full grocery run before you head into the valley. Think of it like a fun camping trip—but with a comfortable bed and a roof! We have a fridge and stove ready for you to cook your own 'high-desert' meals, and a bathroom with a shower (no bathtub). Let me know if you have any other questions about what to pack!" To make sure it’s the right fit for you, please keep in mind: Food: There are no supermarkets nearby. The closest full grocery stores are 80 miles away in Bishop or Tonopah. You’ll need to bring all your meals with you! ● The Setting: We are surrounded by incredible beauty, but it is a rugged desert environment. Expect some dust, desert wind, and a very 'lived-in,' simple apartment. ● Wildlife ● Connectivity: Cell service can be spotty. It’s the perfect place to unplug, but not ideal if you need to be on high-speed video calls all day; however, the Desert Hideaway does have WiFi. ● Power outages do occur more often than you might see in the big city, and there is no generator. However emergency lighting (rechargeable lantern stored on the shelf behind the couch) is provided. ● The Reward: If you’re okay with the above, you’ll get some of the best stargazing in Nevada and total peace and quiet.
