Homestead Cabin

Chickens greet you as you drive down the lane to a new cabin nestled in trees at the back of our hobby farm. A private setting to enjoy sunsets, rolling hill views and wildlife. A comfortable Queen bed loft, bright kitchen, retro mini-fridge, guitar, games and hammock set the scene for relaxation and fun. Just 5 minutes into the quaint village of Stirling, or walk to nearby Water Buffalo Farm for cheese and gelato. FREE Firewood No cleaning fee 1/2 way between Toronto and Ottawa The space The Homestead Cabin is located down the laneway at the end of our property. Drive right to the cabin and parking is free. We are child and teen friendly, but because of the animals we cannot allow pets. The cabin has a sliding glass door, lots of light, a Queen bed loft, and a pull-out futon (bedding inside it) in the living room. An electric fireplace with its flame gives a warmth to the cabin. Books, games, and a guitar entertain during your stay. There is a retro mini-fridge, toaster oven, and electric kettle for hot water in the kitchen, with dishes and cutlery. We provide pour-over coffee, tea and teapot, sugar, (no milk or cream). Bedding, hand towels, and tea towels are supplied, as well as ample water for cooking and washing. Please bring your own drinking water. The washroom is a dry toilet in charming vintage decor, just 10 feet from the cabin. Hand sanitizer provided. There is a seasonal outdoor shower (portable) attached to the washroom. A firepit is ready and wood is included in your stay. Sit out under the giant poplar to enjoy the sunset views, or dine alfresco at the bistro table. Guest access The cabin lot is quite easily defined by trees and wood structures, and mown grass. A small rope fence announces the north edge of property. Other things to note There is a stained glass art shop on the property, as well as homemade jam and soap for sale. The shop is open upon request. There are many nice waterways to explore close by. We have 2 blue kayaks for rent at $10 each, as well as lifejackets and paddles. You must provide transportation.
