Fenelon Falls Lakeside Retreat

Our Cameron Lake cottage sits on a one acre property, just a 15-min walk (2-min drive) to the charming town of Fenelon Falls, home to great restaurants, cozy coffee shops and the outdoor Grove Theatre. Enjoy some winter fun (snowmobiling [the trail is minutes from the cottage], smores at the firepit or puzzles & games inside by the fireplace). Summer fun includes kayaks, paddleboards, paddleboat, cornhole, bocce, swimming in wade-in water or just enjoy the sunshine on the deck. The space Our cottage is located on Cameron Lake which is known for it's great fishing. We're minutes away from the Kawartha Rail Trail for hiking, biking, ATV & snowmobile riding, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing as well as the Byrnell 9 hole golf course and the Fenelon marina. Another bonus for being close to town...no black flies! There are approximately 6 steps on the road side and a full flight of stairs on the lakeside. The lakeside stairs run off of the deck that is attached to the cottage. The ground between the cottage and lake is flat grass. There are natural stone steps into the lake which is wade-in water with a rocky/sandy bottom. Water shoes and lifejackets are available in various adult sizes and are recommended to be worn when entering the lake. Guests are responsible for providing their own child life jackets and water shoes. Two kayaks, 2 paddle boards and 1 pedal boat are available for guest use from dusk to dawn at their own risk. Guests must wear lifejackets at all times when using these water toys. Hosts are not responsible for any injuries that result from their use. Guests will be responsible for replacing any damaged or missing water toys. Our property is on a septic system therefore toilet paper is the only item to be flushed down the toilets. Everything else must go into the garbage. To ensure a comfortable stay for everyone, parties or events are not permitted. Only registered guests are allowed on the property. Access to the boathouse and dock is not permitted. To ensure a comfortable stay for everyone, parties or events are not permitted. Only registered guests are allowed on the property. This rule is strictly enforced. Other things to note There are other cottages nearby so the City of Kawartha Lakes noise and fire bylaws must be abided by. Water comes directly from lake and is undrinkable. Renters need to bring their own drinking water. NOTE: Beginning in 2027, July and August bookings will be for full weeks only.
