Fenelon Falls Lakeside Retreat

Our Cameron Lake cottage sits on a one acre property, just a 15-min walk (2-min drive) to the charming town of Fenelon Falls, home to great restaurants, cozy coffee shops and the outdoor Grove Theatre. Enjoy some winter fun (snowmobiling [the trail is minutes from the cottage], smores at the firepit or puzzles & games inside by the fireplace). Summer fun includes kayaks, paddleboards, paddleboat, cornhole, bocce, swimming in wade-in water or just enjoying the sunshine on the deck. The space Our cottage is located on Cameron Lake which is known for it's great fishing. We're minutes away from the Kawartha Rail Trail for hiking, biking, ATVs, snowmobiles, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. We're also close to the Byrnell 9 hole golf course and the Fenelon Marina. Another bonus for being close to town...no black flies! There are approximately 6 steps on the road side and a full flight of stairs on the lakeside. The lakeside stairs run off of the deck that is attached to the cottage. The ground between the cottage and lake is flat grass. There are natural stone steps into the lake which is wade-in water with a rocky/sandy bottom. Water shoes and lifejackets are available in various adult sizes and are recommended to be worn when entering the lake. Guests are responsible for providing their own child life jackets and water shoes. Two kayaks, 2 paddle boards and 1 pedal boat are available for guest use from dusk to dawn at their own risk. Guests must wear lifejackets at all times when using these water toys. Hosts are not responsible for any injuries that result from their use. Guests will be responsible for replacing any damaged or missing water toys. Our property is on a septic system therefore toilet paper is the only item to be flushed down the toilets. Everything else must go into the garbage. To ensure a comfortable stay for everyone, parties or events are not permitted. Only registered guests are allowed on the property. THIS RULE IS STRICTLY ENFORCED! PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS POISON IVY IN THE TREED AREA ON THE PERIMETER OF THE PROPERTY. Guest access Effective September 1, 2026: Maximum 6 adults and 2 children under 12. Friday to Friday weekly bookings in July and August. Set up your workspace with lake views, take breaks on the deck, and enjoy the perfect balance of productivity and relaxation. **ACCESS TO THE BOATHOUSE, DOCK AND SHED ARE NOT PERMITTED.** Other things to note Please be mindful that there are neighbouring cottages nearby, so all guests must follow the City of Kawartha Lakes noise and fire bylaws at all times. The cottage water is drawn directly from the lake and is not safe for drinking. Guests are asked to bring their own drinking water for their stay. For guests who have received prior approval to bring pets, please ensure all pet waste is bagged and disposed of in the outdoor garbage bin. IMPORTANT NOTE: Our water and septic system rely on electricity to operate. In the rare event of a power outage or power surge, water service and toilet use may be temporarily unavailable. If this occurs, please contact me right away and I will work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Please also note that water pressure in the faucets and toilets may be lower during certain times of the day or when people are showering or the dishwasher is running.
