The space This spacious 4-bedroom (all upstairs with easy to climb stairs), 2-bath (one full upstairs and one full downstairs) home comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests and offers everything you need for a relaxing and memorable stay. Enjoy a fully equipped dream kitchen with everything you need (including a spice rack!), open living spaces perfect for family gatherings, and watch the sunrise and freighters from the large, beautiful outdoor balcony or master bedroom overlooking the water with the best view imaginable. Both floors offer their own HVAC system which keeps the temps comfortable all throughout the home. Step outside to unwind by gathering around the bonfire pit under the stars and making s'mores with the family. A Weber propane grill is also available. Bring your fishing gear — the dock offers some of the best fishing on the channel, right in your backyard. We have a waterslide and ladder available for you to enjoy the crystal blue water during the warmer months. Major updates to the property have been recently done in 2025/26, including new beautiful windows and doors (Nov 2025), new central air conditioning (Aug 2025), new California King mattress in the master bedroom (Sept 2025), new fandeliers (Aug 2025), beautiful new laminate flooring (Mar 2026), new bathroom vanities (Mar 2026) and many more updates! We believe you will truly love everything about our home! House Rules Welcome to our St. Clair River getaway! Please help us keep the property safe and enjoyable for everyone. Occupancy • Only registered guests are permitted on the property unless disclosed before/during your visit. • No parties (house, bachelor, etc), events, or large gatherings without prior written approval. • Maximum occupancy must not be exceeded at any time. Exterior security cameras monitor entrances and parking areas. Quiet Hours • Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. • Please be respectful of our neighbors and keep outdoor noise to a minimum. Smoking • No smoking or vaping inside the home. • Dispose of cigarette butts properly. Pets • Pets are only allowed if approved during booking for a nominal fee and must be leashed outside. • Guests are responsible for cleaning up after pets. Waterfront & Dock Safety • Use of the dock, seawall, and waterfront areas is at your own risk. • Children must be supervised at all times near the water. • No diving or horseplay from the dock or seawall, the dock is very slippery when wet. • Guests are responsible for securing their boats and watercraft. • Life jackets are recommended when using the dock or watercraft. - No fishing cleaning inside the home. - No glass containers on the dock or near the water. - Boats must not be tied to neighboring docks, only tie up on our property. There are whips, cleats and pilings to tie up to. There is a boat lift that was installed on Oct 2026 for the hosts boat only. There is approximately 25-30 feet in front of the new owners boat lift on the canal side to park a boat if needed. Parking • Park only in designated parking areas. • Do not block neighboring driveways or roadways. • Boat trailers must be parked only in approved locations (ask host if you have any questions). Fire Pit & Grilling • Follow all local fire regulations. • Never leave fires unattended. • Fully extinguish all fires before leaving the area or going indoors. Put all chairs around the fireplace back to their original locations each night so that the hot embers do not burn chairs. Firewood may not be provided. Property Care • Please treat the home as you would your own. • We understand things happen; please report any damage or maintenance concerns promptly. • Do not move furniture between indoor and outdoor areas. - Absolutely no fireworks allowed on the property. - Airbnb has new rules no longer requiring guests to strip the bed sheets off, and no longer requiring guests to wash the dishes. We understand and support the rules, but if you want, please feel free to strip the sheets off and put them in the clothes hampers in each bedroom, while also putting the dirty dishes in the dishwasher (pods are in sink cabinet) and start it before you check out. This way it gives the cleaning people enough time in between back-to-back bookings. Again, not required, but very helpful; we very much appreciate it!😊 Guest access There is a keypad on the door, Airbnb will share the code prior to check-in. To lock the door from outside, simply hit the lock button on the keypad. If there is any trouble we are only a call away. Other things to note Here are some items to keep in mind during your visit. - The city of Algonac has strict rules on no parking on the street. If you need parking for more than 5 cars (4 in the driveway & 1 in the garage are available at the house), there is free parking available at the DG Mart (short walk or get picked up) at the end of the street. Please do not park at any of our neighbors driveways. - If you need to add more people who will be spending the night to your reservation (even last-minute), it is not a problem, we can accommodate up to 10 people maximum each night (per our city approval certificate). We only ask that you please make sure to update your Airbnb reservation with the correct number of guests and the number of nights they will stay. If they will not be staying the night, we still need an accurate count, so please let us know know and we can add anyone not staying the night and you will not be charged if approved. Thank you for your cooperation in this manner. - The indoor fireplace is non-operational. - There is room to dock a boat up to approximately 25' long during your stay. We recommend docking on the canal side, in front of the owners new boat lift, with the front of the boat facing the river since there can be a wake from boat traffic. Three new pilings were installed on Oct 2026 to tie up to along with cleats and whips. Please use ONLY BUNGEE TYPE ROPES TO TIE UP TO OUR DOCK AND/OR USE THE WHIPS. Pictures will be added soon to show the new canal side configuration. - If you need to park a boat trailer off-site, the City of Algonac offers Airbnb visitors a free parking permit behind the Dairy Queen in town. All you need to do is call the Algonac City Offices before your visit to get your permit in advance. Otherwise, you are welcome to park your trailer in the driveway or garage if it fits. - Free bottled water and coffee are available for your convenience. - Cushions for the outdoor patio furniture are available in the garage if they aren't already installed. - Chairs, Loungers, Inflatable Tubes, and other misc outdoor items are available in the garage for your use. - A swim ladder is installed off the dock during the summer. Feel free to use the hose to wet the slide, but please turn off the water when not in use to conserve water. - Be aware that there is a roughly 2 mph current on the river going from north to south behind our home. Take this in account when entering the water. Our ladder is on the south end, so entering on the north end is advised. The water depth on the river side is approx 10 ft deep by the seawall. On the canal side there is only a minimal current, where the water is much more shallower at approx 5 ft deep. - Very Important! No running, roughhousing, or pushing on the dock. The dock is very slippery when wet. - Life jackets are available in the storage box next to the water slide and recommended for use while swimming at our property. - The property across the canal is not our property and is considered private. We appreciate that you please stay on our property during your visit unless you are invited over. - A spice rack is available for your convenience. - You have a fire pit available on the property for your convenience. Please put your fire out and put chairs away before you leave the pit for the evening. Use the provided fire poker, if needed. Firewood may not be provided. - A Weber propane grill is available for your convenience to grill your food. Make sure the propane is turned on before igniting. There are grill brushes to clean the grates after cooking your meal in the cabinet below the grill, along with grill mats. If propane runs out, there is an extra tank available in the garage. - If you are not taking your Michigan bottle returnables with you, feel free to please put them in a separate bags in the garage and we'll take care of them for you from there. Also, if you have any food that you no longer need, or can't take with you, feel free to leave it in our home and we can donate it, rather than throwing it away. Thank you.
