If you are still looking for the perfect place for your vacation with family or friends, you will certainly be charmed by our elegant home of character that has always been called Chez Sylvain, named after my great-uncle who built it. Ideally located in a green setting, a stone's throw from Spain and the Basque Country, this beautiful completely refurbished villa offers a retro atmosphere for your vacation. It sleeps 8 comfortably. On the ground floor are the colorful kitchen and the comfortable dining room with its wood-burning stove. In the elegant living room, the old piano may awaken some musical inclinations... A sofa convertible into a double bed will allow two people to sleep in the living room. On the first floor, two lovely double bedrooms (one with a nice private shower room), 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and a retro shower room with toilet. In summer, Béarn offers a multitude of activities to try, from hiking to visits to charming typical villages, but you can easily spend a whole week resting... In winter, located just 45 minutes from the first slopes (La Pierre St Martin), this residence allows everyone to find their happiness, lovers of skiing, snowshoeing as well as those who prefer to enjoy visits or rest by the fire. Its wooded garden is bordered by a vast meadow and a small picturesque rural path that leads to the village. You can also hear the gentle murmur of the nearby stream where, during the summer months, a small beach allows you to unwind after a day of enjoying the splendor of the Pyrenees. Guest access Our Chez Sylvain gîte is located next to our Chez Castagné gîte, but each is oriented in the opposite direction to maintain privacy for all. The gardens of the cottages are bordered by a huge field and are a short walk from a river... the countryside as we imagine it! You will have access to the entire apartment, consisting of the ground floor and the first floor. You will of course enjoy a large garden. Your check-in will be independent, a key will be hidden in a place that I will indicate to you a few days before your arrival. To get there safely: A64 highway RN 134 Pau-Pyrénées Airport Oloron Train Station Lurbe-Saint-Christau Railway Station Other things to note Check-in and checkout times are much more flexible than those indicated when the booking is made for a weekend, generally, you can arrive from noon and leave in the afternoon. At certain times of the year (November to May), the meadow next to the house is home to sheep. A beautiful sight for all ages!
