If you are still looking for the perfect place for your vacation with family or friends, you will certainly be charmed by our elegant home of character that has always been called Chez Sylvain, named after my great uncle who built it. Ideally located in a green setting, close to Spain and the Basque Country, this beautiful villa completely refurbished offers you a retro atmosphere for your holidays. It can accommodate 8 people in comfort. On the ground floor are the colorful kitchen and cozy dining room with a wood burning stove. In the elegant living room, the old piano may wake up some musical leanings... A sofa bed convertible into a double bed will allow two people to sleep in the living room. On the first floor, two adorable double bedrooms (one with a nice private bathroom), 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and a retro bathroom with toilet. In summer, the Béarn offers a multitude of activities to try, from hiking to visiting charming typical villages but you can easily spend an entire week resting... In winter, located just 45 minutes from the first slopes (La Pierre St Martin), this residence allows everyone to find their happiness, ski lovers, snowshoes as well as those who prefer to enjoy visits or rest by the fire. Its wooded garden borders onto a vast meadow and a small picturesque rural path that leads to the village. You can also hear the gentle murmur of the nearby stream where, during the summer months, a small beach allows you to recharge after a day savoring the splendors of the Pyrenees. Guest access Our cottage Chez Sylvain is located next to our cottage Chez Castagné but each is oriented in the opposite direction to keep everyone's privacy. The gardens of the cottages are bordered by a huge field and are a few steps from a river... the countryside as we imagine it! You will have access to the entire house, consisting of the ground floor and first floor. You will of course enjoy the large garden. Your entry will be self check-in, a key will be hidden in a place that I will let you know a few days before your arrival. To get to port: A64 highway RN 134 Pau-Pyrenees Airport Oloron Station Lurbe St Christau Railway Station Other things to note Check-in and check-out times are much more flexible than when booking for a weekend, usually you can check in at noon and check out in the afternoon. At certain times of the year (November to May), the meadow next to the house hosts sheep. A great show for young and old!
