Escape to a cozy guesthouse in the pines of Forest Ranch — just 20 minutes from Chico and 1.5 hours from Lassen Volcanic National Park. The space This private 1-bedroom guesthouse in the pines of Forest Ranch sits on our 5-acre horse ranch and blends comfort and simplicity for the perfect forest getaway. Just 20 minutes from Chico and 1.5 hours from Lassen Volcanic National Park, it’s an ideal base for both adventure seekers and city escapees looking for quiet. Inside, you’ll find a queen bed with fresh linens, a bright living room with a sectional sofa and dining table, and a kitchenette stocked with essentials (coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, and snacks). The bathroom is newly renovated with gold fixtures, fluffy towels, and thoughtful touches. If you’d rather stay in and get cozy, enjoy a collection of DVDs or stream your favorites on the smart TV with Netflix. Fast Starlink Wi-Fi makes it easy to stay connected, whether you’re working remotely or unwinding after a day of exploring, and pets are welcome with prior approval and pet fee. The guest house shares a parking area with our main house and we're out a couple times a day to feed the horses. Beyond that we’re more than happy to either give you complete privacy or swap stories, point you toward favorite trails, and share recommendations for Chico and Lassen. Guest access You'll have full access to the 1br/1ba guesthouse for the duration of your stay. Fire season here in Forest Ranch is no joke so access to our fire pit is seasonal (Oct-May). If you'd like to have a fire during your stay, let us know and we'll be sure to have plenty of firewood ready to go. Other things to note We love well-behaved dogs and cats! In order to accommodate the extra cleaning associated with furry friends, we charge an additional $25/pet.
