Enjoy the peaceful and beautiful setting of our waterfront home on Chalk Pond. Whether getting away with your family or a few close friends, it is the perfect retreat with the same comforts of home. With close to 100ft of waterfront, it is ideal for all seasons. You may find yourself kayaking, swimming, hiking, or just relaxing at the house your whole stay. It is close to Mt. and Lake Sunapee and ten minutes from the local attractions of New London. Check out the Paddle Inn! The inside of the house is a cozy 1,118 square foot. It is an open concept so the kitchen, dining, and living area are together. There are two full baths- one on each floor and a tub on the second floor. The stairs and upstairs is carpeted and downstairs has hardwood floors. The house is freshly painted and uncluttered and is equipped with cozy bath towels, soft sheets, and two new queen mattresses. The kitchen should have everything you could need. It is a perfect spot for a small family or small group. ex. 4 adults max. In general, we don't accept reservations for 6 adults due to a small septic. Outside: The house is private and surrounded by woods. You can see neighbors across pond and next to the house but the house is not on top of others like some lake communities. The yard is shady but there is wonderful sunlight after lunch on the deck and early evening in front of our house. You can use four adult kayaks and one child kayak. We have a big shady yard for lawn games and a grill at the side of the house. There is a fire pit in the yard. In front of our house, the water is shallow and sandy but beyond our area is different depths in the pond to swim or paddle around. The water is cool and clean as the pond is spring fed. There is an association beach, tennis courts, and playground for your use close by. You will have access to our house, yard, pond, and Association tennis courts, playground, and beach. We will be available by phone and email as needed before, during, and after your stay. It is a quiet community with people who reside on Chalk Pond all year long while others use it seasonally in the summer, fall, and winter. It is truly off the beaten path. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful get away, this is the place for you. You need a car. We allow 3 cars maximum. Please note: Your security deposit will not be returned if you have more people at the house which doesn't match your reservation or if Sunapee Association rules such as disturbing wildlife are not followed.
