Description

Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly camp shelter; a great place to immerse yourself in a peaceful nature setting without the hassle of tent camping. Reading and quiet reflection are definitely encouraged. Twin hammock posts on front porch provide alternate sleeping arrangements. 4 can sleep inside, 2 outside. Ridge top location generates a constant gentle breeze. Virtually mosquito and bug free environment. Ample water supply and fire ring with a grate for cooking. The space We have 45 acres of rolling woodlands in Union Co, Tennessee. It is pretty much isolated with no road frontage. We have a cabin, a large garage, and a wood shop on the property along with a donkey, a few chickens, honey bees, and two goats. Guest access Parking is available at the end of our driveway at our cabin. From there, one must hike 0.46 miles on an old logging road just behind our cabin. Expect an elevation gain of 328 ft. There are a couple of steep spots but nothing an ordinary person in reasonable shape could not do. I can provide shuttle service to the top in my RTV for a small fee. Children under 10 ride free. Other things to note This is a primitive camping shelter without electricity. You need to bring sleeping bags, pillows, eating and drinking utensils, flashlights, and any hammocks if desired. Dogs permitted on leash. I provide water both potable and non-potable. Firewood is cut, stacked, and in abundance. There is also a bear cable to secure food items overnight. An actual bear has been sighted on the ridge.
