Virginia Tech Retreat

Our little house just outside of Blacksburg allows you to be close to the action, but not too close. You can head into town (5-8 minutes) or head up the mountain. Enjoy activities around campus and then retreat to a quiet place for some rest. Or go hiking in the nearby Jefferson National Forest and then head into town for a nice dinner. For you skiers, Winterplace is an hour away in W. Virginia. For you cyclists, our road is a popular training hill. The space Upstairs you'll find a full kitchen, living room, bathroom and 2 bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen-size bed; the other a full bed. There are televisions in the living room and the smaller bedroom. There is also an office/yoga space. Downstairs has a separate back entrance and is a full apartment with bedroom, living area, kitchenette, and bathroom (shower stall). The bedroom has a king size bed and a television. Outside the backdoor is a patio and large yard. Guest access You have access to the whole house. You will get a code to the electronic lock on the side door, which we prefer you use. If you go out the back door onto the patio, please be sure to lock it again when you leave. If you do use the front door, please make sure it is fully closed and locked when you leave. Other things to note Our house is on a septic system, so please use only toilet tissue when using the toilet and avoid allowing food waste, especially coffee grinds and oils, to go down the sink drains.
