Private Suite Near Mohonk & New Paltz

A private guest suite in a country home on two acres, surrounded by gardens and open farmland. Located in near the rail trail and just minutes from Mohonk Preserve, Minnewaska State Park and downtown New Paltz. The lower-level suite has its own entrance and a small below-ground window facing the backyard garden. Ideal for two guests seeking a quiet, independent space close to hiking, climbing, and local restaurants. We are 80 miles from NYC, 30 min. from Beacon, and 45 min. from Woodstock. The space We live upstairs with two cats and a dog. The suite is private, but this is not an entire home rental. Access to the main kitchen is not included; however, the suite has a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and folding tables. If you need something specific or forgot an item, let us know and we will accommodate when possible. Guest access Private guest suite with separate entrance through the garage and private driveway parking on the property. Guests have access to the backyard and heated pool (open July–September). Inside you’ll find a full-size bed, private bathroom with shower, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, folding tray tables, and a desk with chair. The space includes WiFi, Chromecast, and a smart TV (guests use their own streaming logins), along with a seating area and board games. The closet includes hangers, a small safe, iron and ironing board, and a handheld vacuum. Bath and pool towels, extra pillows, blankets, and essential toiletries are provided. The suite has heat for colder months. There is no central A/C. As a lower-level space, it stays naturally cooler, and fans are provided. Please note: the suite is next to the utility room. You will hear the boiler cycling on and off. Access is via a personal code so you can come and go independently. The room includes an interior privacy lock. If you need anything during your stay, let us know. During your stay We live upstairs and are available if needed, but we respect our guests’ privacy. Some guests enjoy chatting and getting local recommendations, while others prefer a fully independent stay — we’re comfortable with either. The suite has a private entrance and self check-in, so you can come and go on your own schedule. We also have two cats and a dog who live upstairs with us. They do not have access to the guest suite, but they are part of our home. Other things to note The suite is located on the lower level of the home and has a small below-ground window. The suite is next to the utility room, and you may occasionally hear the boiler cycling. In the event of a power outage, we may need brief access to the utility panel and will notify you if that occurs. There is heat for colder months. There is no central air conditioning; as a lower-level space, it stays cooler, and fans are provided. We live upstairs, and this is not an entire home rental. The suite has a private entrance off the garage. Guest parking is outside on the driveway, in front of the white shed next to the basketball hoop. The heated pool is open July–September, weather permitting. Two cats and a dog live upstairs with us and do not have access to the guest suite.
