Hand-built log cabin on 9 acres with a private dock on the Diascund Reservoir Lake. Sleeps 10 with 6 bedrooms, 3 baths, den, full kitchen and game room. Enjoy a screened porch, fire pit, grill, kayaks, and plenty of remote space to enjoy. Go fishing from the dock or take out the 14ft john boat (25+). The space Our home was hand-built from logs harvested on the property and sits on nine acres along the peaceful Diascund Reservoir, creating a rustic, charming waterfront getaway. My husband and I live here part-time, so it's a functioning home with all the basic necessities and the charms of a real home filled with sentiment. The primary suite has cathedral windows overlooking the lake, a king bed, a seating area, and a jacuzzi tub. Two additional queen bedrooms are upstairs with a full bath. The entire upstairs is accessible with no stairs - as we have a low grade ramp to the main front entrance of the home (this allows access to multiple bedrooms, full bathrooms, kitchen, and dining area). The downstairs level offers plenty of space for families, with a large queen bedroom, two smaller (no windows) bunk rooms, each with twin bunk beds, a cozy den with wooden walls and lake views, and a game room stocked with darts and plenty of games for adults and children. The dining spaces are designed for flexibility: a large table in the dining room overlooks the front property, while a four-person kitchen table works well for casual meals. We have an extra large dining table that can be folded out and arranged as you please, as well as 12 extra folding chairs. The full kitchen is stocked with all necessary appliances and basic items to get you going. Outdoors, the property slopes down to the water with a private dock, fishing gear, two kayaks, and a small electric john boat (for guests over 25). While swimming is not permitted in the beautiful wildlife reserve that is the Diascund Reservoir, fishing and boating (no gas motors) are allowed. We have a large, lighted, covered canopy in the side yard that you're welcome to use. PLEASE MESSAGE WITH ANY QUESTIONS! Guest access Guests have full access to the entire home, nine acre yard, screened porch, fire pit areas, dock, and garage patio. Fishing gear is provided, we have two kayaks, and guests over 25 may use the electric john boat. While swimming in the reservoir isn’t permitted, boating and fishing are welcome. Other things to note The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, spices, and basics, plus all necessary appliances (dishwasher, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, full stove/oven). We also have a coffee station stocked to start out your trip, as well as matching plates/glassware/flatware for tables up to 10. We are out in the country on septic and well water - both work great, however shower lengths should be limited and laundry use is not permitted. If daily, long showers for your group of 8+ people are important to you, you’d be best suited elsewhere. Our neighbors remaining undisturbed is of the utmost importance to us! The property is plenty big and guarded from view on all sides, however sounds does travel, so we have installed a decibel meter at the property line on our neighbor's side that is monitored after 10pm. Amplified music or loud gatherings outside after 10pm is strictly prohibited and you will be subject to removal from the property. Our home is at the end of a long, privately and well-maintained dirt road. This road is stable and easy to navigate for any car, however it is dark at night and a bit curvy! We are out in the country, no street lights. Our neighbor's kids and pets go on this road as well. Please drive slowly and safely.
