The space La Charnière Chadalais offers a beautifully restored, 4* classified cottage for two in the heart of the Périgord-Limousin National Park, on the borders of Haute Vienne, Dordogne and Charente. Situated rurally, yet with plenty to explore and discover on the doorstep- from Michelin-starred dining to historical chateaux, traditional French markets and lakeside beaches to hiking, kayaking and golf, it offers a peaceful and relaxing retreat. The property is tastefully decorated, and offers a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, a lounge with Freesat (UK), Orange TV (FR) and Netflix (multi-languages), a workspace with good quality private WiFi, a spacious open plan bedroom with a comfortable super-king sized bed with high quality linens, bathroom with rainfall shower, and everything you could need whether you stay for a weekend or a fortnight. Outside there is a private and fully enclosed garden with your own private hot tub, BBQ, sun loungers and dining area, and seasonal access to a private heated outdoor pool (May – September weather permitting) with direct access from the gite garden. The pool area is spacious and offers a large paved terrace, sun loungers, a ping pong table and a large covered seating area. Offering its own parking area and entrance, the gite, the garden and the pool are completely separate from our property, fully enclosed and are not overlooked by our own or neighbouring properties, offering a peaceful, private and undisturbed stay. La Charnière is also able to accommodate one child up to the age of 2, and a travel cot and highchair can be provided. The property and location are suitable for a stay year-round whether you want to explore the area, or cosy up and hide away, for a relaxing break or to celebrate a special occasion! We are also accredited with the tourist label Randonnée 87 for hikers, cyclists and VTT signalling us as a perfect location or stop for these guests, being able to offer additional facilities and services upon request. We offer the highest of standards, discreet customer service and have exceptional reviews from past guests. La Charnière is classified 4* and recipients of Traveller Awards in 2023, 2024 and 2025 Everything will be ready for your arrival, and we can even provide celebration packages, breakfast hampers or arrival meals (for a small additional cost). During your stay, the property, hot tub, pool and garden are exclusively for your use. There is a large driveway where you can leave your vehicle during your stay right outside the property. The pool and pool terrace are open 1st May - 30th September, and available 9am-9pm daily (weather depending). The pool is accessed directly from the gite garden. The hot tub is exclusive to guests and can be used 24/7. Other things to note We offer flexible check-in and check-out times if required. We ask that guests let us know their expected arrival time so we can meet them for a brief tour of the property on arrival. We offer the option of a Cheese/ Charcuterie platter upon arrival and/ or Breakfast Hampers for all or part of your stay, or celebration packages for a small additional charge.
