Welcome to Lindstrom Lakeside Cottage, tucked on the shores of South Lindstrom Lake, this cozy cottage is your invitation to slow down. Wake with the sunrise over the lake, sip coffee on the deck, and end your day by the fire pit under the stars. Thoughtfully designed for lakeside getaways and families alike, this warm and welcoming cottage invites you to slow down, breathe deep, and enjoy the simple beauty of lake life. The space The cottage features two comfortable bedrooms with space for families or friends, one with a queen bed, and another with both a full and a twin in a bunk arrangement. With two bathrooms (including a shower and tub combination), getting ready is easy whether it’s a family vacation or a fishing trip. The kitchen comes fully stocked with cookware, dishes, and basics for preparing meals, while the adjoining dining area offers a welcoming spot to share them with views of the lake. At the heart of the home, the open living room invites relaxation, with seating designed for conversation, reading, or simply enjoying the slower pace of lake life. Inside, you’ll find cozy seating, stocked kitchen, fresh linens, windows overlooking the lake, while outside invites you to seating overlooking the lake, fire pit evenings, morning coffee on the deck, and ways to get on the water including a kayak, a paddleboat (great for kids!), and we have a 14 foot aluminum boat if you want to row around or attach your onboard motor to go fish with! Thoughtful extras like board games, blankets, and lake gear make the cottage as welcoming for a quiet retreat as it is for family adventures by the water. Guest access Guests have full access to the cottage and property, including the shed for storing outdoor gear. You’re welcome to enjoy the fire pit, grill, dock, board games, and television. For time on the water, a 14-foot aluminum boat is available (it's registered and ready for use with your own onboard motor) and there are local boat rental places, or bring your own, and tie it up at the dock just feet away from the front door. Parking is provided in the driveway with space for up to five vehicles. Please note the garage is not accessible. The cottage uses a keypad lock; you’ll receive a personal code valid for the length of your stay. The shed remains unlocked for convenience if you’d like to secure valuables, we recommend bringing a lock however the location is quite private and very safe. Other things to note Lindstrom is known as “America’s Little Sweden,” with charming shops, cafes, and summer festivals that celebrate its heritage. South Lindstrom Lake connects directly to Chisago Lake, giving you access to a larger chain of lakes perfect for boating, paddling, and fishing. Anglers can look forward to walleye, bass, northern pike, and panfish. Outdoor lovers will also find trails, parks, and nearby attractions like Ki-Chi-Saga Park, Franconia Sculpture Park, and Interstate State Park for hiking, picnics, and river views. Whether it’s summer on the water or winter ice fishing and snowmobiling, there’s always something to enjoy.
