Just 10 min to the historic mining town of Cerrillos, 15 to artsy Madrid, 30 to Santa Fe, and one hour to Albuquerque. The scenic dirt road leads to your mountaintop sanctuary where you'll disconnect from the world while relaxing with modern comforts. The space This 3-bedroom, 2-bath home comfortably sleeps 6 guests. The open floor plan features a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and standard cooking appliances. The living and dining areas are spacious and feature spectacular mountain views. The home also includes heating and air conditioning, washer/dryer, and two full bathrooms. Expansive decks on both the north and south sides provide perfect spots for morning coffee or evening stargazing. Each bedroom offers a peaceful retreat after days spent exploring the high desert landscape. The historic village of Cerrillos is 10 minutes away, where you can walk the streets where movies like Young Guns was filmed, have a meal at the Black Bird Saloon, or hike the beautiful Cerrillos Hills state park. The village of Madrid is a further 5 minutes away, where you can peruse the art galleries, grab a coffee at Java Junction, a meal at The Mineshaft Tavern (great green chili cheeseburger), Jezebels, or Refinery 14. We are dog friendly and have an outdoor fenced area for your furry friend(s). No dogs over 50 lbs and maximum 2 dogs per reservation. There is a $75/pet fee and 4-legged guests must be included in your booking request (no surprise pets). Guest access Guests have full access to the entire house, both decks, and all 25 acres of the property. Explore the property and find your favorite spot to take in the panoramic views. Parking is plentiful. Other things to note Important: The last mile of the drive to the property is on a bumpy dirt road. 2WD vehicles will have no issues on this road in dry conditions, but 4WD may be required during times of heavy rain or snow. Please plan accordingly. The journey is part of the adventure and the views are worth it! The remote location makes for fabulous star-gazing but limited cell service (wifi is available). Bring groceries as provisions in Madrid and Cerrillos are limited. The nearest supermarket is 30 minutes away on the south side of Santa Fe. If you are en route to/from Pecos or US 285, there is a supermarket in Eldorado, about 40 minutes away. Triangle Grocery in Cedar Crest is a good option if driving from ABQ. The property is remote and the community values privacy, peace and quiet, so no large parties and keep noise down after 10pm.
