Description
Stay in the heart of historic Old Town Lorena in this charming upstairs retreat! Nestled just off I-35, this restored space occupies the entire 2nd floor above an art school. This storied building has served as a masonic lodge, antique gallery, and The Village Lamplighter with each layer adding to its unique character. Step outside and enjoy walkable access to local coffee, dining, curated antiques, and a children’s park; or drive 7 min to a local winery, or 15 min to Baylor and Magnolia Market. Guest access Guests have two private entrances at the back of this historic building, accessible via a first floor entrance with an indoor staircase or an external staircase leading to the second floor. You'll have exclusive access to the entire second story, which is completely separate from the first floor art studio by a locked interior door. The first floor is an art school, but is not part of the guest space. However, guests are welcome to request to book the space for events if interested! Other things to note The building is located next to the train tracks, which separate it from the nearby local park that is perfect for a quick stroll or picnic. Across the street is the town’s fire department, and the police station is just down the block. These neighboring services contribute to a strong sense of safety and community in this charming historic area.
