Description
Peaceful and relaxing home for the whole family The space On the first floor is a full bathroom (no bathtub - stand up shower), kitchen, living room, dining room and what we call "the front porch room" which is referred to as "Bedroom #2. It has a daybed with a pull out trundle to accommodate two people. This room does not have a tv but has a peaceful, beachy vibe. There is also a large desk in this room if you need a workspace. Off the kitchen is a good size deck with lots of plants and flowers and a propane BBQ. There are many chairs and a pergola covering the whole deck. Upstairs is the main bedroom (Bedroom #1) and has a queen size bed, flat screen tv, shelving unit for clothing, ironing board and iron. The 2nd bathroom is upstairs and also with no bathtub, just a shower. There is a pantry is the hall with clean linens, towels and toiletries. There is ample parking in the driveway. Guest access You are welcome to use all rooms Other things to note Around the corner from Water’s Edge, a beautiful venue that hosts many weddings and events Centerport Beach - a five minute car ride to this local beach - excellent for kids, no big waves and very swimmable. Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium - a five minute car ride to explore the many buildings in this historic museum, beautiful gardens and/or enjoy a star filled planetarium show. Robert Moses State Park - half hour car ride to the South Shore beaches of Long Island with beautiful white soft sand but this is the Atlantic Ocean so there are big waves, so not a "swimmable" beach but certainly worth a day trip to. Huntington Village - a seven min drive west. Beautiful walkable town with a movie theater, many restaurants and shops, and the Paramount venue which has a wide variety of different events - sports/music/comedy shows. Northport Village - a seven min drive east. Pier, park, playground, restaurants, cute shops, and the Engemann Theater with Broadway caliber shows at a smaller venue than Broadway and tickets are a fraction of the cost. New York City - an hour train ride or an hour car ride. Don't have to tell you all there is to do there! Worth it for the day if you've never been. It is the "Big Apple" after all!
