Mountain View at the Golden Wood Cabin

Escape to the cool mountains and enjoy breathtaking views of downtown Summerhaven at our newly built mountain retreat-The Golden Wood! It’s a modern log cabin in the heart of the Santa Catalina Mountains with a short walk to restaurants and the General Store. Sleeping up to 6 guests and appointed with all the comforts of home, our cabin is the perfect place to unwind and recharge. With 2 porches, marble countertops, and large floor to ceiling windows (and no neighbors!), this is a special cabin. The space Our log cabin is a retreat from the heat, a hiking haven, and our winter paradise where the skiing is only a 5-minute drive. Entering the green door to the basement, you must be able to walk up the stairs to enter the base floor. There, you will enter the kitchen at a slight right, and a bathroom with a shower and a bedroom with a queen bed to the left. There are huge picture windows and a deck with views of Summerhaven off the kitchen and living room. The living room has a fireplace mantle and gas, cast-iron stove to heat up the cabin in a jiffy. Upstairs, you will find another large bedroom with two twin beds and an office area and reading chair. There is another bathroom upstairs with a sparkling bathtub, and an electric, reclining loveseat with a 50" television in the loft. We call it the Golden Wood Lothlorien from the Lord of the Rings, lol: "East of the Misty Mountains, beside the Silverlode, which flows the River Anduin, lies Lothlorien - The Golden Wood - the fairest Elf-kingdom remaining in Middle Earth." We think this is the best cabin in the land. This is a 2025 build with modern amenities, including marble countertops and stainless-steel appliances: Gas stove with electric range, large microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator/freezer. There are three sleds, a yoga mat, corn hole, and a shelf full of indoor games to entertain you. Of course, there is a grill and outdoor seating on the balcony that easily accommodates seven. Summerhaven offers hiking, biking, skiing (when available) general store, restaurants, music on the mountain & movie nights (summer only) and more! Parking spot -on Loma Linda Extension Road there is a single parking spot accessible in any weather next to the walkway to the green entry door. There are two additional parking spots, accessible when no ice or snow are present, if you enter the driveway from Gila Avenue on the north side of the cabin (at Loma Linda Extension). Guest access You may enter through the key pad at the green door by the garage and have use of the entire cabin. We only lock the closet in the queen bedroom. Please do not attempt to park in the garage as the driveway is very steep and parking spaces are available on Loma Linda Extension Road and on the north side of the cabin (when no ice/snow). There is no trash service. If trash is left on the premises, a fee of $50 per bag will be assessed. Before you leave, throw trash away, turn everything off (special attention to heaters), and please lock up. Thx!
