Camellia Cottage (Wheelchair friendly)

Charming Historic Camellia Cottage with Private Courtyard in Downtown Monticello. The space Camellia is a quaint ONE bedroom queen bed cottage that also has queen (pull-out) and twin (pull-out) sofa beds in the living room. A full kitchen with apartment size refrigerator. The space is designed for wheelchair access including the bathroom with roll in shower. The bedroom queen bed can be moved against the wall to accommodate a wheelchair. The outdoor string lights are on a timer from dusk till midnight. Mini-split heating and air conditioning keep the cottage comfortable and a wall unit is there as a backup just in case. We provide a Keurig with k-pods, but we recommend CowHaus Coffee two blocks away. There are many great dining and shopping venues all within walking distance. If you enjoy an after dinner cigar "A Green Keeper" smoke shop is across the street. Kids enjoy exploring the antique, thrift, and sporting stores downtown. Please know that Monticello is pretty sleepy on Sunday & Monday, but the rest of the week promises plenty of great food, shopping, & treats! Guest access The property is all yours. Door code will be provided prior to check-in as part of your welcome message. Other things to note Due to Camellia cottage's downtown location road noise and the smell of good cooking is to be expected. We love pets (we have chickens and a German Shepherd), but are currently not accepting pets at the Camellia cottage to provide comfortable lodging for guests who have allergies. Please note that the bedroom has a doorless entry that allows for easy access via scooter or wheelchair and also creates a more open and inviting space!
