Stay in the heart of downtown Elko at Calamity Jane's Hideout, a spacious 900 sq. ft. first-floor retreat inside historic Hotel West. Soaring 12–14 ft. ceilings and a large open layout offer plenty of room to relax, dine or work. Enjoy comfortable indoor seating, a kitchenette, private bath and Wi-Fi, plus a beautifully landscaped, fenced courtyard with patio seating. Walk to downtown restaurants, shopping and local attractions. The space Calamity Jane's Hideout is a spacious 900 sq. ft. open-plan apartment with soaring 12–14 ft. ceilings. The living, dining and sleeping areas are arranged as distinct spaces within the open floor plan. There is no separate enclosed bedroom. The apartment offers comfortable seating, a dining area that also provides plenty of room to work, a kitchenette, and a private bathroom with a shower (no bathtub). Sleeping accommodations include Queen and Double Koala sofa sleepers. These uniquely designed sofas unfold into comfortable sleeping surfaces close to floor level. We add custom-made canvas bedrolls on top for additional comfort. Please note that the beds are approximately 8–10 inches from the floor, so they may not be suitable for guests who have difficulty getting down to or up from a low sleeping surface. Guests also have access to a private back porch and our beautifully landscaped, fenced courtyard with patio seating—a great spot to relax outdoors. Guest access Guests have private use of the entire apartment, with the exception of the loft, which is not accessible to guests. You'll also have access to the back deck and our beautifully landscaped, fenced courtyard with patio seating—a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or relax outdoors. Presidio West Real Estate occupies the front portion of the historic Hotel West building. The office is completely separate from the guest apartment and secured behind a double-deadbolt locked door. There are no shared interior spaces between the office and your accommodations. Your co-host, Jess, is the broker/owner of the real estate office and may be working in the office during your stay. While you may occasionally see her coming and going, your apartment remains private throughout your stay. Street parking is available along the curb in front of the property. Guests may also park one vehicle in the adjacent Star Hotel parking lot, which we have permission to use. Other things to note Calamity Jane's Hideout is located in a historic building in the heart of downtown Elko. Part of the charm of staying downtown is being close to restaurants, shops, events and local activity. Guests may occasionally hear street noise, music or other activity, particularly on busy evenings and weekends. **Cooling:** Please note that the apartment does not currently have air conditioning. Ceiling fans are provided throughout the space. During warmer summer weather, guests who are particularly sensitive to heat should keep this in mind when booking. **Kitchenette:** While there is not a traditional range or oven for cooking, the kitchenette is well equipped for preparing simple meals during your stay. It includes a full-size refrigerator, microwave, electric skillet, electric griddle, dishwasher and coffee maker, along with dishes, glassware and flatware. You'll also find a beautiful 1930s antique stove, preserved as part of the historic character of Hotel West. The stove is decorative and cannot be used for cooking; its gas supply has been shut off for building safety. **Sleeping arrangements:** Calamity Jane's Hideout is a large, open-plan apartment and does not have a separate enclosed bedroom.
