Welcome to Bruhen Cottage! Past meets present in this beautifully restored 1930’s craftsman nestled in the heart of Brenham! Curated with friends and family in mind, you will find fully stocked bathrooms, kitchen and comfortable bedding. Outside is a charming patio area and large yard, perfect for enjoying the fresh air. Our cottage is ideally located, offering easy access to local cafes, shopping, attractions and activities! The space Other things to note * There are steps leading up to the property as well as down into the primary bedroom, and from the back door down onto the patio. * Check in time: 4 p.m. or later. Access info will be shared separately. * Reminder that we do not allow pets or smoking. Sorry! * There are 2 onsite security cameras - one on the front porch and one by the back door. * This is an old home. We ask guests to please not turn a/c below 72 in summer daylight hours. While we have done just about everything we can to help this old gal, the extreme Texas heat is a tough battle. There is a portable a/c unit to turn on to help keep the house cool. The water may need to be emptied. * The back door lock is hard to turn and may seem like you need to push the door to get it to lock. Just turn the lock with some force. * Please be good neighbors and follow the quiet times listed in the welcome booklet. * NO PARTIES - You must let us know how many are staying at the house and if there will be additional day guests. We will need to approve this. * Amenties: We provide 2 rolls of toilet paper for each bathroom, 2 rolls of paper towels, a few trash bags, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, some coffee and tea options, and refillable bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Please plan accordingly. *Please do not take any items from the home (this includes coffee mugs, toiletry bottles, linens, furniture, decor, etc.) * Bed linens and towels are provided. Please only use the dark towels for removing makeup. If we are charged by our cleaing service for removing stains from towels and/or linens, the cost will be your responsibility. * Outdoor furniture: cushions are located under the bed in the back bedroom. Please clean them off and put them back when done. No indoor furniture to be moved outside. * The front bedroom with the King bed has a white noise machine should you need it for children (or yourself - I always need one when I'm away from home!) * There is a small firepit but firewood is not provided. More information is provided in the welcome book located in the living room. *Additional cleaning fee for stays 2 weeks and longer. Please contact us before reserving.
