The space Welcome to The Lodge Retreat, a spacious and secluded 3600 sq ft log cabin lodge perfect for your next group getaway! You will have the entire home (minus basement,garage and 3 closets) all to yourselves! Nestled on 40 private acres, this beautifully designed retreat offers a blend of rustic charm and modern amenities, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay. Your Secluded Michigan Escape The Lodge Retreat is ideally located for both tranquility and adventure. We're just 35 minutes from Central Michigan University (Mt. Pleasant, MI) and Ferris State University (Big Rapids, MI), making us a great option for visiting families or groups. The lodge is situated a quarter-mile off a paved road with a winding blacktop driveway through mature trees, offering true seclusion. Comfort & Convenience for Everyone Designed with your vacation needs in mind, "The Lodge Retreat" comfortably sleeps 13 guests, making it ideal for large groups, family reunions, or private events. You'll find a wide array of amenities to enhance your stay Indoor Comforts Fully Equipped Kitchen: Prepare delicious meals with ease! Our kitchen boasts a dishwasher, two ovens, an air fryer, crockpot, serving essentials, mixer, and a coffee pot. A high chair is also available. Paper towel, dish detergent are also provided. Inviting Living Room: Relax by the fieldstone fireplace (decoration only) while enjoying the Smart TV. Flexible Dining: A 4-person dining table, a bar with 3 stools, and two 6-foot folding tables with 10 chairs provide ample seating for your entire crew. Game Room Fun: The upper-level loft features a Smart TV, a 10-person poker table with chips and cards, indoor basketball, foosball, and a variety of board games. There's even a dedicated area with toys for younger guests. Work & Laundry: Desktop workspace with fiber internet ensure you can stay connected if needed. A full-size washer and dryer are available for your free use on the main floor. Bathroom Essentials: The lodge includes a full bathroom and a half bath on the main floor, plus full baths in both master suites. All are equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, blow dryers, towels and toilet paper. Sleeping Arrangements We offer a variety of comfortable sleeping options: Bedroom 1 (Main Level): Queen-size bed and Smart TV. Bedroom 2 (Main Level): Queen-size bed and walk-out access to the screened-in porch. Master Suite 1 (Upper Level): 1 Queen bed and 1 twin bed, walk-out balcony with two chairs, in-room sink, vanity, and a full private bath. Master Suite 2 (Upper Level): Queen bed and one twin, walk-in closet, in-room kitchenette (microwave, mini-fridge, sink, Coffee maker w/ cofffee) and Smart TV, and an additional half-room with a dresser, 1 twin, and 1 twin w/trundle. This suite also includes a full private bath. Childs pack in play with sheets ready available. Linens: All linens are provided, with extras readily available. Outdoor Adventures Screened Porch: Enjoy the views from the screened porch with comfortable seating. Heated In-Ground private pool. Take a refreshing dip in our heated in-ground pool with a diving board. (Please note: Swim at your own risk; life jackets are not provided). Pool floating devices available along with pool towels. The pool is open from May 14th 2026 to September 7, 2026. Bonfire Pit: Gather around the outdoor fire pit with some provided wood, and chairs for cozy evenings under the stars. Corn hole boards provided Grilling Options: Choose between a charcoal grill and a pellet grill for your outdoor cooking needs. (Pellets provided). Grills are available until November 1st. Then stored away for the winter months Hiking Trail: 1/2 mile loop trail. Please note: Trail is closed from September 1st to December 1st for safety and out of respect for hunters. Guest must remain on the trail at all times. Unregistered pets/guest will incur in a $250 per night per unregistered pet/guest fee. Be sure you have the correct amount marked at the time of your booking. We understand plans change. If you have already booked and want to add additional pet/guests, this is great! Just send me a message and we can change your reservation. Apples in the orchards are not part of your stay. We have them contracted out to a market for cider. Please do not pick the apples. Please keep in mind, our home is located in the woods. If a guest leaves a door open for a long period of time, it’s possible for bugs and outside critters to enter. We do not refund guests if this happens. We just ask that you please try and keep doors closed as much as possible to prevent this from happening. Our pool is also located in the woods. It will look just like the pictures, clean. It does attract natures creatures now and then. Don’t panic, nothing that will eat you, just use the skimmer to get it out. *We have updated the fence around the pool to a beautiful cedar fence. Will update pictures this spring once the pool is open. Pet-friendly stays We're happy to be a dog-friendly home! To ensure a pleasant experience for all guests and maintain our property, we do have a few simple rules: Dogs are NOT allowed in the pool or in the fenced in area around the pool. Dogs are NOT allowed on beds, or on any furniture at anytime. Please use the designated area away from the home for dog urination and defecation to prevent yard damage. All pet waste must be disposed of. Evidence of pet hair on furniture or beds, or any waste/damage to the yard will incur a cleaning or damage fee.
