Experience serene lakeside living in this stunning unique century-old home with breathtaking sunset views. Your private en-suite includes a bedroom overlooking lush greenery and a living room with magnificent lake views. + your own bathroom. The two-tiered backyard offers unmatched tranquility. This is not a party house - ideal for professionals or long-term guests. I travel often, so you'll mostly have the home to yourself. When home, I may share some of my favorite home-cooked meals! The space Welcome to my historic lake house, a truly unique space filled with charm and character. The second floor features a one-of-a-kind bedroom that opens into a cozy living room with a balcony overlooking the lake. From here, you’ll experience the most majestic views and unforgettable sunsets right in front of you. The adjoining room includes a TV and a comfortable couch that can be converted into a futon if needed. For groups of more than two, I can provide a secondary guest bedroom, allowing up to four guests to enjoy the home comfortably. While you are renting the private rooms, you’ll also have access to shared spaces including the dining room, kitchen, backyard, and more as discussed. This house is very special to me - it has original floors and historic features throughout. I ask that guests treat it with absolute respect while enjoying the beauty it offers. Please note that as a historic home, it does not have central air conditioning. We rely on the natural lake breeze and the sound of the waves with open windows for comfort, though there are a few mini-split units throughout the house if needed. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in a home with history, character, and unbeatable lake views, this is the perfect spot. Guest access Guests will have access to their private bedroom and bathroom, as well as shared use of the kitchen, dining room, and living room. You’re also welcome to enjoy the sun room and the backyard. Please note that the lower level of the backyard, closer to the water, is at guests’ own risk. The lake can be unpredictable and potentially dangerous, so I do not recommend going down to the water. If you choose to do so, it is entirely at your own risk. During your stay As your host, I’m around from time to time but always respectful of your space. I’m happy to chat, share a story, or give you complete privacy—whatever makes your stay most comfortable. Most of the time, you’ll have the house to yourself, but if I’m there, you’ll find me easygoing and glad to help. This is more than just a place to sleep—it’s a historic lake house with character, charm, and sunsets that you’ll remember long after your stay. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway where you can enjoy peace, space, and the sound of the waves, you’ll feel right at home here. Other things to note This isn’t your typical Airbnb! it’s a historic lake house and a truly unique experience that I’m grateful to share with others. It is not a party house and is not suitable for events, drugs, or loud gatherings. The space is best suited for romantic getaways, peaceful retreats, or guests who want a calm, serene environment with majestic lake views and a sense of timeless charm. If you’re looking for quiet, relaxation, and a place to recharge, you’ll feel right at home here. Please note, security cameras and door sensors are installed outside of the house for safety reasons.
