Description

Just off I65, a unique farm stay where nature meets modern luxurious design, tucked in seclusion behind a gated serene setting, this solar powered tiny home sleeps 2 adults with a fun kids' loft above a spacious living area. The Perch overlooks a babbling creek and 60-acre berry farm. On their own 4 acres, guests have access to a nature trail around a green pasture where sheep and goats graze. A short drive across the bridge is the farm entrance to enjoy various activities and berries in season. The space The Perch is a solar powered modern tiny home "perched" on a hill overlooking the entire 60-acre farm, tucked into a secluded setting in the trees with a scenic view of the sheep pasture. You can enjoy this view from the front porch in the morning sun while enjoying your coffee or from a spacious shady deck overlooking the creek below. Here you can relax in rocking chairs or a swing or you can grill out for some fun outdoor dining. Inside the home opens into a hand painted hallway separated from the bedroom with a large cedar slab barn door all created by the owner from a tree that once sat in this same location. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a luxurious mattress and sliding glass doors that overlook the woods and firepit area. Or you can close the curtains and enjoy movie style entertainment from the 54-inch TV mounted above. Also off of the hallway is a luxurious bathroom with a walk in rainfall shower that is very relaxing! The stone sink with cedar counter was another creation of the owner. The kitchen and living room are combined into one spacious area with a TV and gas fireplace, a large picture window, and a comfortable couch that fully reclines on both ends and has charging ports for your devices. The couch can be used as an extra sleeping accommodation. Blankets and pillows are stored in the trunk. A large bar area for indoor dining also has storage for plates and glassware needed. If you have children with you, they may prefer to sleep in the upstairs loft designed to mimic a camping experience with bedrolls, grassy green carpet, and stars that glow overhead. A step ladder system was included in the kitchen area for easy adult access, however, be mindful of your little ones going up and down. If they are too young to use this ladder steps safely there is a baby gate available upon request. The kitchen provides all your essentials: A gas tiny stove and microwave for cooking. the refrigerator and coffee maker are tucked inside the large furniture cabinet. Feel free to look around to find all the things you need for your dining needs. During the months of October through March a small enclosed firepit is available for your outdoor enjoyment Please enjoy this responsibly as the risk of forest fire due to dry leaves and grass could put our farm animals and their environment at risk. Adult supervision is required. In warmer months this area will have a picnic table for outdoor dining instead. Guest access Guests have four private acres on a farm separated from the main blueberry farm by a winding creek. Sheep and goats graze in your area watched over by our 3-legged sheep dog, Tripod. A path around the pasture is maintained if you choose to walk. The pasture animals may come up to the fence to greet you. Pasture access is allowed only when the owners are present to guide you, which can be arranged upon your arrival if you so desire. The woods around the home are cool and calming, but the hill overlooking the creek is steep, so it is not recommended to venture into the wooded areas. Various wildlife inhabits the farm property, so be aware as you enjoy the grounds. The barn is for the use of the animals and their care which is done only as needed and at the front of the property in order to maintain your privacy. You may access the main farm to enjoy honey and berries in season, and we will be happy to show you around.
