Barn Bunk Room

The Barn Bunk Room offers a step up from camping in our lovely barn on a wooded 5 acre horse ranch. The 12 x 12 room has heating and cooling (fan), a very comfortable FUTON which opens to a Dbl size bed (MAX WT. LIMIT NOT TO EXCEED 350 lbs.) and accommodates 1 person (2nd guest considered upon request). ROOM REQUIRES YOU SUPPLY OWN BEDDING AND TOWELS. (We offer new microfiber sheet sets for purchase at $20 if needed) Pets will be considered on an individual basis and must be discussed first. The space The room has a microwave inside and a mini fridge (we have a few items in it) just outside of your door. There is wifi. There is a clean port-a-potty a very short walk from the barn and an outdoor shower room with hot water at back of barn. (If we have campers on the back of the property, the shower and potty will be shared.) Horses have access into their stalls inside the barn and come and go throughout the day/night. They are not typically loud but you may hear them. The Barn and barnyard are kept very clean. We come into the barn am and pm (times vary) to feed and although the room is quite quiet, you may hear us. As we offer a "private" camping site on the back of the property, if we have a booked camper they have private use of the back Grove area and you will have access to the treed yard in front of barn with a hammock, small fire pit and gazebo. If there is NOT a booked camper during your stay, then you may use the wooded area and its amenities out back. There is a friendly cat who lives in the barn. We have 2 well trained dogs, but they won't run free while you are here. We also have a small flock of chickens with a rooster who are cooped at night but free range during the day. Pets may be allowed, but you must run it by us first for approval. Our land borders a railroad track and a short train runs 2 days a week...Tues. and Thurs…typically one direction around 10 am and back around 1 pm. It rarely runs on other days / times. We are in the country but are close enough to roads that you may hear traffic on occasion, but roads are not heavily traveled. **Trigger Warnings: JBLM military base is located outside of Yelm, so you may occasionally hear military doings. You may occasionally hear country neighbors doing target practice. Barn is accessed through our gated driveway and entire property if fenced. As we are a horse property, we do require everyone to sign a Release of Liability Waiver upon arrival and we also require all adults to show legal ID. Please respect this beautiful property. Leave No Trace. Keep all pets leashed and pick up after them. Keep music low. No illegal drugs, fireworks, guns or archery allowed. Please read and respect all posted signs. Guest access You will enter the property through a gate (and will be given the code for your stay). You will then drive back toward the barn and can park anywhere on the grass near the entrance. During your stay If you want privacy, this is a great place for solitude. If you want to interact with us and the horses and other animals, we are very happy to facilitate that. Other things to note As stated in the description, the room requires you to supply your own bedding and towels. If you don't have those with you, we offer new microfiber sheet sets for sale for $20 and there is a blanket in the room if needed (and in a pinch we will supply you with a towel). Our Internet connection out here in the country sometimes has outages which we cannot control. As we are a horse property, we do require everyone to sign a Release of Liability Waiver upon arrival and we also require all adults to show legal ID. We will only accept bookings from verified guests and we prefer to see a bit of info and a photo on their profile as well. (Booked guest(s) only) THERE IS A CURRENT BURN BAN ON.
